He felt the woman struggling in his grip. He only held her with one hand, but even then, it would have been impossible to escape. The being that Vol had become already held within his hands a strength that completely separated him from normal people – and he'd hardly begun to evolve yet.
She'd stirred at the sound of her brother's voice. Her eyes were open, and there was almost hope in there. She pushed against Vol, seeing that the other raiders were already fleeing, it was only him and his two comrades that remained behind to slow their pursuit.
