One by one, those Corpse Soldiers dragged themselves to the surface. The five that Ser Grakus had mentioned appeared within moments – and then five more came swiftly after that. Then another five after them, until a total of fifteen Corpse Soldiers were groaning, and moving angrily through the thick mud and stagnant waters of the bog, towards the giant youth that had called for them.
"It would seem that Grakus told more than one lie," Vale said dryly, as the monsters came their way. "It would have taken us days to fetch every single one of them out."
"Imagine if another mercenary group had taken this quest instead of us… They would have been as good as dead," Penelope said, horrified. "What a cruel thing to do… just for convenience."
