"They will be looking for the perpetrators now. Anyone that might have connections to that group, or any good reason to kill them," Harland said, drumming his fingers on the table, as if imagining the magistrate's guardsmen looking for them at that very moment.
"Well, they are unlikely to do anything to us. The Princess and I were inside the magistrates at the time. The clerks can attest to that. And you were all here at the time. Thornhand can attest to that," Vale said.
Penelope nodded in agreement, and once she translated what had been said, Thornhand seemed to rigorously agree as well. "By heavens, of course. I'd give a testimony if I had to. I would draw my sword if they attempted to pull you unjustly away from here."
