"Round up the men, we will isolate them," the General declared, turning his attention to Jev instead. Unlike Vagrin, Jev didn't seem so keen on moving swiftly. Even with the powers of a monster to enhance his agility, he had trouble straying from the style that he had become so accustomed to as a human.
He marked his spot, in the centre of the enemy line, and he waited, allowing the men to charge at him, before he would cut them down, with the most basic of techniques, executed to enhanced perfection by the new ridiculousness of his strength and speed.
As his men worked, Varn stepped up to meet him, noting that the monster's gaze had already been on him for more than a moment, as if bidding that he approach.
"A General," Jev said. "What an honour."
"A monster," General Varn said. "What a pity."
