"AMATEUR!" Earl Maddon shouted, smacking the spear out of the way again with his glaive. He had the timing down well enough now, he thought. He'd seen the same blow too many times – he wouldn't allow himself to miss it. Not when his pride was on the line as it was.
The Black Goblin Captain showed no signs of caring, even as the Earl managed to close the distance between them, and as Dwire and the Second Boundary men raced behind him. With one blow missed, it simply went in for a second strike.
"NEVER AGAIN!" Earl Maddon said, striking away the first of the blows, even more easily this time. He was beginning to find his battlefield flow. This was his position of strength, and he was determined to make use of it.
