Vol said the first thing that came to his mind, but it didn't turn out to be a particularly good question. He was still in the midst of figuring out exactly what the limits of the man's Blessing was, and the question had fallen out of his mouth before he could properly think it through.
"My goodness, how your mind fails to work when rage doesn't solve your problems," the man taunted. "You have all these men surrounding me, and not a single one of you can do anything."
Out of the corner of his eye, Vol saw Borne shuffling forward slightly, clearly just as enraged as Vol felt. "Stand still, Borne. Don't get closer to him," Vol cautioned. He wanted to keep his eyes on the man at all times. He didn't want whatever power he had to have the chance to shine. He prayed that, surely, it was impossible for a man to simply disappear when Vol was looking right at him.
When the Wood Sprites appeared, Vol took a gamble on that idea.
