Vol had guessed that the Death Knights would eventually be despawning. He'd supposed that it would be at some point that day, given that the other monster had disappeared the day before. But even knowing it would happen, their disappearance still came with a hint of bitterness. He'd wanted to figure out how to give them the energy they needed for continued existence before they faded away, but he'd failed in that task.
"Sorry, Commander," Vale said. "I was in the midst of battling with it… And it just, sort of, disappearing, I suppose?" She was trying to show something with all the gesticulating that her hands were doing, but whatever it was, Vol didn't get it.
"It's fine, it was going to happen anyway," Vol said. He looked her up and down, evaluating that level.
