Ruddock seized on that brief moment of distraction. He'd seen Vol summon the Corpse Soldiers twice more already, and he was a quick study. He read the pattern, and he used his opening to shoulder his horse past a Death Knight, and to send a boot at Vol's chest.
With Vol's warhammer raised to deflect the glaive, there was nothing to stop the boot. It caught him full in the chest, where he was already building up a considerable amount of damage. A mouthful of blood fell out past his lips, but he kept his ground, sensing that the boot wouldn't be the end of the combination.
He wasn't wrong. The glaive came next. It was a strike that the General put his full body into, swinging down from over his head, twisting in the saddle to score the hit across Vol's body.
