"Sacrifice indeed," Pandora chuckled heartily. "You are beginning to learn the language that we speak, boy. Try not to die before you speak it fluently."
The General didn't look shocked so much as infuriated. The fact that his killing blow had been paused before it had landed seemed to irk him to no end. The fact that he didn't even see the creatures that formed that solid wall of defence either, that was even worse. They'd sprung up out of nowhere, as if they had appeared from the air itself.
"By the Gods…" Northy said, seeing the giant creatures around his Commander. The first Death Knight had been something, but to see two more appear out of nowhere was grounds for him to lose all bearing of his rationality.
Time and time again, he defied expectations. To be near him was to walk the line of madness. Reality held sway no longer.
"My Lord General!" A surgeon shouted. "Strategist Kollin has perished!"
