"No – as I have said before, Pandora has a gift. You are a son now – her only human son. She's quite the doting mother. I hope you'll appreciate that," the Pandora Fragment said.
"What gift?" Vol said.
"Gifts, I should say," Pandora said. "You've already received one, after all. Make sure to off your thanks."
"Mm," Vol grunted, urging her to continue.
"Do it," Pandora said. There was an edge to her voice now that escaped the realm of feminine, reminding Vol of the monster that had had to confront in order to tame her even slightly. Vol could tell that she at the very least was serious.
"Pandora has very few worshippers, you see," Pandora said. "You'll have to make up for those lack of voices by your lonesome. But you seem a diligent youth – you're up to the task. Merely offer your thanks."
