Everything that the System had given him, combined with his natural strengths, he'd put them together. On an intellectual level, he understood that Bert had redirected his blow, but on the level of physicality, as a practitioner of combat, and as a warrior himself, he knew that such a strike couldn't merely be overturned, and especially not by an axe, a weapon that made for a poor parrying tool at any given time.
His reactions were so dulled that even with his increased speed, Rast managed to fling two strikes his way, rather than one. Both of them were strikes that Vol dodged, but they still set him on the back foot regardless.
He frowned. Overturned? His strike? Impossible. Not by a man of Bert's level. He was strong, certainly. In terms of his level at least, he was stronger than Vol, but he was strong enough to take everything that Vol had and cast it aside, was he?
