Both Jev and Northy were stunned – though Northy was angry on top of that, and went forward with a massive looping blow of his axe, something that was ever so easy for the newcomer to dodge. He jabbed his life lightly into Northy's side, not deep enough to draw too much blood, but enough to distract his attention, and then he hit him with a ridiculous uppercut right on the end of his chin.
"Done," the man said, grinning a smile filled with rotting teeth, as he twisted Jev's arm up behind his back, and the man pounded the floor, begging for release. "So, why don't you tell me yer trick, Vol, brother of Jok – how could you tell? Ain't no one that looks at me sees me as strong, but you judged my strength well enough."
"A secret," Vol said. "A skill that you would be fighting on the side of, if you chose to join me."
