"And you look like shit," Vol said. "What the fuck's wrong with you, walking around looking like a bucket of milk?"
Nolan smiled a self-deprecating smile. "Some of us have a harder time recovering from those kinds of sights than others," he said. "Though it would be hard to say that you've recovered, given how you're carrying yourself…"
"You left me without my men. In a tent, surrounded by your own, without a single weapon on hand. What explanation do you have for that?" Vol asked.
"That before you fell unconscious, you were quite mad. I didn't want to put our alliance at risk by allowing for discord to be sown between us, should you awake in that same state of madness," Nolan said.
"And he was right to do so," Beth said, joining him from his tent. She too looked like she'd just gotten ready.
"I thought you didn't sleep with your underlings, Nolan," Vol said, raising an eyebrow.
