With a sigh, Vol grabbed the man by the back of his coat, and began to drag him across the square, sparing no mind for the pain of the stones that afflicted him as he dragged him. The man struggled all he could, but the fight was quickly leaving him. It reminded Vol so explicitly of the rabbit that Northy had killed the day before, and the way it had struggled and Penelope cried. It was strange to think just how close a man was to a beast.
When they neared him, the soldier looked up. He'd already torn open the woman's top. Now he had Vol looking down on him at his most lecherous.
"C-commander?" The soldier spluttered.
"Move," Vol said.
"Move? But she's mine," the man protested. "That's what Nolan said – we each got what we took. Even you don't have the right to take her from me."
