"Don't suppose you want to buy any grain, lad?" Moesh asked with a cackle, recalling when he'd forced a good handful of silvers away from Vol so that he could feed his donkey. It was the wrong thing to say. With a single swing, Vol crushed the three men in front of Moesh with his hammer, until he loomed over the man himself like a bad dream.
"Do I take that as a no..?" Moesh asked quietly, his face paling as he saw his death. Vol's hammer gave the answer. He crushed the man mercilessly, dismissing eternally a face that had grown so familiar, reducing it to a bloody mess.
Even the veterans were starting to keep their distance now. They stood back, just out of range. The fewer of them there were, the harder it was to kill them. Vol pressed them against the shield wall as he chased after them, felling one man after another.
