Those already gathering around the fire greeted him as he arrived. Indeed, Vol too confirmed the scent of stew, as he nodded to all of them. They seemed to universally call him 'Boss' for lack of a better term. Those closer to him, like Harland and Borne, he allowed to call him Vol, but for some reason, for the rest of them, hearing them call him by his first name never had sat right, and he would give them a pointed stare whenever they did.
"How was training this morning, Vol?" Harland asked naturedly as he handed him a bowl of stew. Borne was already sat on the ground nearby, greedily spooning his back into his mouth, whilst Northy groaned about his headache from his hangover and Vagrin continued to annoy him by pilfering the coin from his pocket whenever he wasn't looking, only to return it a little while later.
