Vol found himself glad for his plan – for this waiting, even though it had only been fifteen minutes at most, it was beginning to wear on him. To merely stand still, doing nothing but watching, it was a miserable affair. He wished that he'd brought something with him to eat, at least as a means of occupying his hand, but he hadn't expected things to devolve into such an ordinary affair, with the people calmly waiting for an announcement that must have been routine to them by now.
As he waited, Harland and the others soon returned, assuring him that his weapons had been stored away. Vol passed the time by giving Vagrin another harsh reminder.
"If these aren't recovered after the battle, it'll be you that's held accountable, Vagrin. I won't let you off lightly. Both hands, at least," Vol told him. It was Vagrin's reactions that made such threats worthwhile.
