The Outer Sect Management Pavilion was bustling with disciples, hundreds of outer sect disciples were going about, doing their job.
Some were talking to their friends, while some were just taking a stroll.
Outer Sect Management Pavilion was located almost adjacent to the houses of many disciples.
It wasn't Shen's first time coming here.
He had come here previously to exchange for this isolated adobe near the pigs.
"Nothing much has changed."
"Well that's to be expected, after all it's just been about a month or so."
The Pavilion had a massive silhouette, carved out from jadestone, the dragon mortifs still stood proud and tall, giving an imposing aura.
After walking around for a while, Shen randomly spotted an outer sect disciple like himself.
"Greetings brother I am Shen Wang, this is my first time coming to the Management Pavilion, can you please guide me a bit," Shen cupped his hands and initiated the talk with a slight bow and an ernest smile on his face.
The disciple had long hair and was wearing pale blue robes with a lotus embroidery, similar to Shen.
"Welcome! It would be my pleasure to guide a fellow disciple around," The disciple spoke with a smile.
"My name is Sun Liwei, come, follow me." Sun Liwei turned around and asked Shen to start following him.
After walking for a bit, they arrived at the same reception which Shen had come to exchange for his house.
"This is the reception, this is the place that you would want to come to submit your mission after you've completed it."
"However, not just this, if you have any questions, complaints or wish to exchange for miscellenious items or spiritual stones, you can come here."
"Brother Sun, what do you mean by miscellenious items?" Shen asked.
"Well.... basically anything other than pills, weapons and techniques, because each of them have their specialised bases dedicated to them."
"However, for clothes, daily tools, talismans, formations and so on, you can only exchange for them here."
"Not just exchange, you can also sell items here for contribution points." Sun Liwei patiently kept explaining as Shen listened earnestly.
"There are many receptions in the Management Pavilion, each having their own domains of working, just walk around a little and familiarize yourself a little, and you'll be able to get comfortable soon."
"Thank you for your guidance brother Sun!" Shen thanked him while taking glances at the different receptions.
"No problem brother Shen, now lastly we have the mission board," Sun Lewei guided Shen towards a huge board where hundreds of missions were mentioned.
Dozens of disciples were scouring the floating texts on the strange wooden board.
"Don't be too surprised brother Shen, this is a programmed mechanism which displays the pending missions,
when you take up a mission, it dissapears from this board."
"As you can see, each mission has merit points rewards attached to them, adjacent to the mission boards is the merit board."
"Is this something like a ranking system?" Shen guess-asked.
"Indeed, this is the ranking list of the Qi Condensation cultivators who have contributed the most towards the sect."
Shen's eyes skimmed through the ranking list, the top contributer was
(1) Zhao Yun Peng
(2) Li Xiu Chen
(3) Xiao dong
All three of them had over five-thousand contribution points!
"How did they gather so many contribution points brother Lewei?" Shen asked with a slight shock on his face.
This was quite a lot, even Feng Long only took 150 merit points to guide Shen through almost the entirety of Vital Lotus Breathwork.
Each month, a disciple only got 20 merit points, thus it was truly flabbergasting to see someone with such a high number accumulated.
"Haha.... wish I knew brother Shen, how I wish that I knew that," Sun Lewei smiled bitterly.
Clearly they had some secret to them.
"Well, that concludes my guidance," Sun Lewei concluded.
"Thank you for your guidance, please let me give you some merit points as a token of appretiation brother Lewei." Shen blocked Sun Lewei's path and insisted.
"Brother Shen, you really don't have to.... you must need these merit points right now, you can repay me later...." Sun Lewei spoke, attempting to dissuade Shen.
But Shen gave him 10 merit points nonetheless....
After a little small talk, Shen finally let Sun Lewei go.
"Now then... shall we have a look at the mission board."
Hmm.....
"Clean Outer Sect Elder Wang Hui's residence.... 5 merit points..."
"Recruit cultivation talents amongst mortals....500 merit points per person..."
"Kill Qi Condensation beasts and gather their beast core..... 200 merit points per core..."
"Guard Management pavilion.... guard spiritual peak..... guard tranquil peak....Cooking food for disciples..... clean the laterine.... concuct pills..... assistant alchemist needed..... weapon smiting.... weapon testing..... cleaning the library....."
"Hmm?"
"Assistant alchemist?"
The mission paid 1 merit points for each day to work under an Alchemist.
"I'll go with this!"
It was currently perfect for Shen Wang to choose, naturally because it would expose him to more alchemy.
Immidiately Shen went upto the reception and accepted this mission.
"Sir, do you wish to accept the Alchemy Assistant mission?."
"Yes!" Shen replied.
The Lady working was a Lotus Servant, Lotus Servants were mortals or martial artists who comprised of most of the workforce of the Lake Lotus Sect, She was quite beautiful with a professional demeanor on her face.
The Lady continued , "This mission was put up by Elder Jian Hu only a week ago, his conditions are that the candidate must have basic idea about how alchemy works and a good idea of the names and uses of spiritual herbs."
"Perfect, I have been studying alchemy for a good while and also have a good idea about the spiritual herbs, I am fully capable of accepting this mission."
"That's Great! Please let me issue this mission for you then," The Lady smiled and started to fiddle around with the equipment around her.
After a few minutes, Shen recieved a jade emblem signifying that he had accepted his mission.
"Elder Jian Hu....."
"According to the information that I have recieved, I need to go to this Elder Jian Hu's residence in a couple of hours and show him this emblem to start working."
"No time to waste!"
Shen immidiately rushed back towards his adobe and started mugging up the names of Spiritual Herbs, as many as he possibly could.
"White Tiger Bones.... Purple Lotus .... Spirit Rose.... Black Iron Dust....."
Floof was still wandering outside, so the environment was quite silent which allowed Shen to work with a greater efficiency.
Shen simple skimmed through the names, looked at their appearaces and gave a look to their uses.
He had previously gone through almost all the books to find a way to get rid of the medicinal stench.
Thus, he could somewhat relate their uses, even if it was just a little.
Sounds of flipping pages filled Shen's residence as the time limit kept approaching.
