The moment the meridian repairing pill entered Shen's throat a hot sensation engulfed his being, his insides scorched as his skin started to appear red hot.
Mysterious nomological powers emerged from the pill which shrouded Shen's body.
It was a mystical phenomenon, even with Shen's tempered mind he couldn't make sense of what exactly was happening to him right now.
Thousands of wisps of Spiritual qi clogged within Shen.
Shen felt that his entire body was about to explode as he kept enduring.
Due to the system which had tempered Shen's mind by putting extreme pressure and pain on it for billions of years, Shen could easily neglect such low levels of pain after that.
However at this time it wasn't just Shen's mind which was being subject to pain, his body was also being subjected to immense pressure.
It was like filling a balloon with too much air, if any more was put in it would simply explode.
The spiritual qi rushed within Shen like an unstoppable tide about to drown him, however it seemed to have a will of it's own as it started to target specific locations within Shen's body.
Shen was completely at the mercy of the spiritual qi right now, he couldn't suppress or control these turbulent currents of spiritual qi being stirred up within his body.
The entire process was mystical and mysterious, Shen couldn't affect the foreign energy within his body at all.
It was not a concealed piece of information that Shen didn't know much about the mysterious ways of spiritual qi, in fact even the previous Shen's memories seemed to be of no use here.
The previous Shen's only job was to cultivate to foundation establishment, thus he was only given the necessary relevant information like how to break through in small realms, how to circulate qi, how to not mess up the flow of qi, how to meditate and keep your mind calm and so on.
With only such little clues, Shen himself couldn't help but endure and wait for the spiritual qi to do it's task.

However although it had stabilized, the pressure on Shen's body didn't decrease at all.
As Shen tried to sense what was happening, he could sense that the spiritual qi had arranged itself in quite peculiar pathways within his body.
The pathways themselves didn't have a physical form, however they seemed to connect Shen's entire being to his mind and a small fog within Shen's abdomen.
To sum it up, it felt weird.
They existed, he could sense that they did, But if he were to dig his body to have a look at them he would only see his organs, muscles and bones as usual.
Existed but didn't.
Thinking about this only left Shen more and more confused, due to his origins from Earth he wanted a logical explanation.
How could such an abnormality occur.
It wasn't that Shen couldn't come to terms with reality, rather it invoked the innate curiosity within him.
Although his inventory was quite similar, existing but not existing. Shen could simply reason that it was the system's mysteriousness that caused this.
However exploring and observing something by himself gave birth to a much more pure curiousness within him.
In a couple of breaths Shen's epiphany was broken as he felt a disturbance within these pathways.
The spiritual qi started to stir and move moving through each pathway non stop.
Pressure on Shen's body started to increase as his body started to crumble.
Small cracks on Shen's skin and his internal organs started to bleed under the unfathomable pressure.

" The old man Huang definitely put this pill as a test of temptation for me, he had already asked me to temper my body before healing my meridians in 3 years but also put a meridian repairing pill here to test if I would fall to temptations and die here or temper my body before trying," Shen sneered inwardly, but soon after his lips started to twitch and curled up in a smile.
" But what that geezer didn't know was that my body can get as strong as a mid-foundation establishment cultivator for as long as I want!" with a mischievous and arrogant smirk on his face, Shen felt that he had outsmarted the old bones.
With his vitality and endurance amplified the process naturally became more and more bearable.
Under the fierce current of spiritual qi spiraling throughout his meridians, Shen's already broken meridians seemed to break down further.
However what surprised Shen was that once his injured meridians started to break down the pressure which was being imposed on his body started to lessen.
After a few minutes, the rate of regeneration of Shen's body far surpassed the rate of it's destruction.
In a few incense of time Shen's meridians completely broke down.
Shen could feel his Shattered meridians getting mixed throughout his body.
Even though he was already aware that meridians didn't actually have any physical form.
Shen was still left a little baffled as he sensed mysterious azure like energy particles getting distributed throughout his body.
This breaking down of meridians gave Shen a chill down his spine.
What if this wasn't a meridian repairing pill but a meridian dissolving pill ?
However his worries faded away as he sensed that the mysterious current of spiritual qi still existed within his body.
After a couple of breaths, the turbulent flow started to slow down gradually before it completely stopped in a while.
The mysterious energy started to stabilize and took form into azure like veins.
These veins did not have a physical form but Shen could feel an intimate connection with them.
It was like watching the birth of one's child.
This lead to Shen even feeling a little touched.
Although these newly formed meridians were extremely fragile, it change with time as they would return to their peak state.
" Interestingly these meridians feel like a part of me, unlike my body which doesn't exactly 'belong' to me these meridians have a deep connection with my mind."
Upon some introspection Shen made the surprising discovery of these meridian being his not the previous Shen Wang's.
This naturally made him more and more happier.
" It seems that as this body grows slowly regenerates it's dead cells, the newly formed parts are actually mind," although it was still mere speculation, Shen finally had a clue about what to do.
" I need to hit the gym as soon as possible, or should I say that I need to hit the body tempering peak soon," with his lips slightly lifted, forming a small smile Shen felt incomparably excited.
After an hour or so, Shen slowly stood up and came out of the room.
The little puppy had fallen asleep, since there was no other noise in the house, Shen could subtly hear the little guy's breath.
" Seems like you're gonna live little guy," Shen's lips curled into a smile as he stroked his hand over the little pup's small head.
As his fingers touched the pup's head, it twitched a little before returning to the previous calm.
Shen chuckled a little as his gaze eventually departed from the puppy and focused on the window.
" The sun is already up and I don't really feel sleepy, I guess I'll go to the body tempering peak"
Saying so, Shen took a pair of clean robes and placed them inside his inventory.
After making sure that there were no open windows or doors Shen decided to head out.
However before he did, he made sure to close all the windows and the doors to prevent the little pup from wandering out in case that it woke up while Shen was gone.
With these preparations Shen started to sprint towards to Body Tempering Peak.
