Ana took a second to connect her thoughts. Her initial theory was right. The reason why Valerian's father was here was because of Eclarisse.
Ana's heart ached when she looked at her. Her red hair was a tousled mess, she had visible bruises all over her body and the ropes that bound her were starting to turn her skin red.
The prime minister must have captured her after finding out that Eclarisse was immune to the virus. But how? Valerian had mentioned how dangerous the virus may be. Ana could understand how precious someone who was immune to it would prove to be when searching for a cure.
However, there were still some things Ana couldn't understand. For one, why were the Trinity members here? How did they manage to enter the academy? Why were they fighting against the Prime Minister?
"Let her go, Viktor," Valerian's voice seethed with anger, commanding and cold as ice.
