"Missed me, sunshine?"
Ana quickly covered herself with the comfortable confines of her blanket, trying to forget what just happened. "This must be a dream! Yep, just a bad dream!" she told herself.
With all the strength Ana had in her, she reached for the lamp on her nightstand, fingers trembling, and flicked it on. The room was flooded with light, and in that instant, the figure disappeared, leaving only a lingering sense of unease.
She forced herself to her feet, her legs unsteady, and approached the mirror on the wall. Her reflection stared back at her, haunted and tormented. With a trembling hand, she touched the mirror, as if hoping to break through to another reality. "I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice cracking.
