Ana
The metallic sound of the gun reverberated through the forest before Ana could take another step.
It was the most deafening sound Ana had ever heard. For a moment, she felt as though her heart stopped as she stared at the gun. Ana's eyes widened in horror as the bullet found its mark, hitting Alpha right in front of her.
As the gunshot pierced the stillness of the desolate forest, time seemed to slow to a painful crawl. The echo of the bullet's impact reverberated through the clearing
'No no no no no no no!' Ana desperately prayed as she felt her hands tremble at the cruel sight.
Her throat ran dry and it was as though her lungs forgot how to breathe. Ana could feel her eyes water, but her tears were too afraid to fall on, they refused to fall because deep down she knew a part of her was hoping this was all just some nightmare. Terrifying but unreal.
Reality is quite a bitch though.
