Chapter 61 - Chapter 59: Debut

After a few months, Mordred has been focusing on mastering a new form of magic that one of Azi Dahaka's heads gave him.

The middle head who was like a next door uncle that likes to give some candy bars gave him dark magic that is quite dangerous.

Offensive magic that is combined with the body. It was the main forbidden magic that Azi Dahaka used to fight.

And it was his secret in fighting armies of gods when he fought the gods of Zoroastrianism. And it worked for him due to being a dragon with a strong soul.

The offensive magic that is fused to one's body gives the user the properties of the spell. Giving the caster immense versatility.

You can turn into a living weapon that embodies the very spells you use. The sky was the limit, so Azi Dahaka used it as his main magic.

"Fixate, seize, load magic! Armament!" Mordred casted a fire spell and condensed it into a sphere of dense flames that would definitely explode like a bomb.

It then fused with his soul, stabilized by primordial magic. Contained within him, able to be used at a moment's notice. Or combine it with his body to turn it into pure flames.

The only downside of it, was the technique wears on one's soul if they overuse it. Worthy of being a forbidden magic.

"It's like having Zenith Tempest with you. That's cheating." Dulio chuckled as Mordred released a storm of elements with it. Leaving an apocalyptic landscape just like Zenith Tempest would.

"Fuuu~ It's very tiring though, but it makes me really versatile. It is easier to use than void magic too. Valerie couldn't artificially strengthen my soul to contain the void." Mordred's hand turned pitch black as it channeled the void.

It was similar to his new forbidden magic. But it did it automatically. So it was extremely dangerous. Because the more you use it, the more it encroaches on your essence.

And when you combine with the void completely. You'll just disappear, assimilated into the dimensional gap. Though he was making progress with it.

But it was a long shot to what Ophis could do, the dragon god of infinity that was born from it.

"Master, your towel." Katerea gave him a towel and Mordred nodded at her.

She didn't like being a maid at all, but she was forced to be good at it. Or else, Tiamat would make her be Mo-chan's punching bag for her new advancements in swordplay.

"Hmmm, Katerea. I've heard that you didn't do the laundry?" Mordred raised a brow at her and she froze.

'Damn, I forgot.' Her expression soured. Even with extensive training with Grayfia, she of course doesn't listen to the Lucifuge sometimes.

Her pride as a Leviathan didn't like being taught by an extra devil house that served Lucifer. So she still forgets her duties from time to time.

"I... I'll do better next time, master." Katerea bowed stiffly, clearly not used to it still.

"It seems I have to punish you." Mordred squinted his eyes and Katerea flinched, but she fidgeted around a bit after hearing him.

As a devil that worships power. Mordred outclasses her. Remembering his show of force when he sicced Mo-chan on them and let his will influence the world around him.

And remembering that shame would be a really torturous punishment for a Leviathan, Mordred did things a bit differently.

"Hand it over." He outstretched his palm and Katerea gulped.

She shimmied her underwear and she gave it to him. "Because you can't even take care of something as simple as this. Then you don't need this." Mordred took the black, lacy panties and stored them in his inventory.

"Y-yes, master..." Katerea bowed deeply and she ran along to do her duties as the maid of their house.

"Umm, I think she isn't really affected by your punishments anymore, Mordred..." Dulio informed him.

"But it was certain, I felt shame and her heartbeat started to quicken. She must be embarrassed for her life and her pride took a hit." Mordred rationalized.

"You should try sniffing that nya..." Kuroka proposed to him and he raised a brow. They normally tone down their senses when at ease, so he took a sniff of Katerea's undergarments.

"Arousal... I see, so it was ineffective. I must rectify my mistake." He nodded sagely.

Kuroka and Shirone smiled wryly. They just came back from their training with the victorious Buddha.

And they learned of his techniques. The 72 bian, in which the nekoshous could transform into many objects. Except it didn't come with the extra lives. Not that it gave him any as well.

Multiplying limbs which is a pretty good skill. Body out of body, was also a good one. Inserting their will on a strand of their hair and filling it with natural energy, they can make clones of themselves.

The only problem with it, is it also shared their senses. So it would overload them if too many were made or if they fought as well.

Sun Wukong's famous body freezing spell also gave them a trump card. It worked like Le Fay's Thu'um. But it fills a person they point at with natural energy and they lock the target's body instead.

It wasn't that effective on strong individuals, but the split second opening it gave was very important.

"What are you going to do now?" Shirone asked curiously and Mordred hummed in thought.

"Rias got really embarrassed when I did this. So I'll spank her later. A punishment for children will really damage an adult's ego." Mordred thought that was the correct course of action.

"Should we tell him?" Vali whispered to them. "No... Let him make his own decisions." Ise nodded sagely. But she just wanted to see the outcome of what he's going to do.

"But maybe later, I'm working on something with Erina." Mordred waved goodbye and he searched for the Nakiri.

"Mordred-kun! Do you want to see the progress of our special room?" Erina smiled brightly, a far cry from her previous, scared expression.

"Yes, did you manage to do it?" Mordred got excited at Innovate Clear's potential to modify a personal dimension.

"I tried really hard to imagine Ise's descriptions of it. Let's check the temporal distortion. Be back in a bit." Erina disappeared in her personal dimension and Mordred counted the time in his head.

After a few seconds, Erina reappeared again and Mordred waited for the good news.

"Ten seconds passed here, how about in your dimension?" Mordred was curious if she was successful.

"It worked! Yatta! The hyperbolic time chamber is two times slower. 20 seconds passed there." Erina did a guts pose and she still has a lot of room to improve on it.

"Amazing, that's great news Erina. You guys are my lucky stars." Mordred beamed at her and he patted her head.

With the hyperbolic time chamber, they can train their students there with amazing potential that they could trust.

Just like Le Fay or Arthur. And with enough time, Erina can also stop their ageing inside of the place.

So they can produce elite warriors that would be their fangs and claws. And the other factions won't see it coming.

Their faction would pop out amazing fighters in a fraction of the time needed. And the best part is, Valerie can also enhance their souls so their bodies would follow the boosts.

It was their super soldier project that Ise thought up with Shirone. Using the power of anime to their advantage.

"I'll make you something delicious. Make sure to share it with Momiji okay?" Mordred promised and Erina beamed.

And while Mordred was soaking in the good news, he received a call from Sona.

"Hmm? What is it So-tan?" Mordred asked and Sona was fuming.

"I have a problem, Mordred." She even ignored his pet name for her and he raised a brow.

"There is this really annoying kid that we can't just ignore. Normally, my tactic of rejecting engagements with a game of chess is fine. Because I'm a heiress, but this guy's a relative of a Satan." Sona growled.

"Diodora Astaroth? Or Zephyrdor Glasya-Labolas?" Mordred squinted his eyes.

"The latter, that prick is stubborn. I beat him in chess and he insisted that devils should overpower others, he's a damned meathead. And he wants to have a rating game for my hand in marriage. The douchebag just wants to humiliate me for shaming him." Sona sighed heavily.

"Wow, you must not really like this guy. You rarely curse. Why not just accept it? You guys can demolish any devil that is at your age?" Mordred was confused.

"That's the thing, lord Glasya-Labolas proposed that somebody fight for me. With me only having Tsubaki as my only piece for now." Sona explained.

"Ahhh, but why did your parents accept?" Mordred didn't see the point of not accepting. Sona and Tsubaki would demolish any devil in their generation. Their peerages included.

"It's nee-sama's fault... She thought it was interesting and she told mother and father to accept it." Sona rolled her eyes.

"Ahhh... I think I know why she wants to do that." Mordred smiled wryly.

While they were talking, somebody butted in. "Mo-kun? Is that you? Hey, hey, see. There's this really annoying son of a bi... I mean, boy. That's pestering So-tan. I mean, how dare he try to ask for So-tan's hand in marriage!?"

Serafall was outraged at the Glasya-Labolas' audacity to propose a marriage with the Sitris.

"I knew it... So, how can I help?" Mordred just thought that it would be a nice helping hand for a friend.

"Well~ I want you to destroy him! Kill him even! But that's going to be a mess." Serafall got disappointed.

Rating games had automatic teleportation systems to prevent deaths. But Mordred could definitely override that function. After all, a filthy devil receiving a direct hit from his swords would get killed, no doubt.

Even Ajuka and Sirzechs would burn to ashes with a direct hit. Not to mention some wannabe hotshot.

"I see, what's the real intention though? You could just ask Sairaorg after all." Mordred squinted his eyes and he saw through her little scheme.

"Ahhh, you got me there te he~ You see, if you try to kill him. The Glasya-Labolas would override the automatic teleportation system and ask for it themselves. After all, it won't work unless the participant surrenders or is in grave danger. And you can definitely bypass that." Serafall started explaining.

"And?" Mordred raised a brow, not liking that the Satans were cooking up a scheme with him involved.

"We need the low class devils to see that the pillar families are biased. Imagine, many low class and middle class devils died due to so-called accidents in rating games. But Zephrydor gets saved due to his daddy." Serafall had a twisted grin on her face.

"What's in it for me? I would've done it for free if it was for Sona. But you're different, this is a transaction." Mordred demanded compensation.

"Hmm, how about a secretary? I know a person that is trying to find a job. And you'll definitely appreciate someone who is good in politics. They also have a really nice ability called crack. It can basically split anything as long as they have magical power." Serafall laid out her cards.

"I do need more people that are knowledgeable in politics and have experience in running things..." Mordred thought about it for a few seconds.

Le Fay is going to get busy with her training in the hyperbolic time chamber. She will be the human role model of the mages who can master Thu'um.

Arthur is busy with doing two jobs. As he is going to be the Pendragon's heir.

Lint and Siegfried were no good, as they could only fight. They just weren't made for administrative work.

Cleria and Masaomi needed some extra hands as they were appointed as their faction's overseers. With the ex devil being Kuoh's previous one. And Masaomi being in a high position as a top exorcist.

"Will it be public?" Mordred asked for one last thing before making a decision.

"Do you want it to?" Serafall could do either and Mordred decided to accept.

"Make it public, we will be showing a bit of our strength. It will either give us opportunities to counter attack some fools, or deter them from even trying. Which is fine either way." Mordred shrugged.

"Then it's decided! Thank you Mo-kun! You can ask magical Levi-tan anything as exchange as well!" Serafall ended the call.

"A rating game huh? Now that I think about it, I did want to participate in them back then." He reminisced a bit and he chuckled.

"I guess we will eventually need more exposure. This would do nicely." Mordred squinted his eyes.

Relatively unknown factions like them would get prodded if they don't prove themselves.

And Mordred being known by the higher ups as the one who erased the Tepes faction is not enough.

The public needed to know that there are some new players that entered the fray. Leading to more trade or alliances.

Preparing humanity against the supernatural doesn't mean that they would oppose them after all.

"Guys I know what we're gonna do today." Mordred called for his kin and they were going to decide on who will do an exhibition.
