Luckily the bathroom was empty ,even if I didn't necessarily matter I didn't have to use the bathroom.i just wanted to stand there like some anti social loner.a gush of breath escaped my lips as I look in my appearance in the mirrow.
Talking about all that shit with Amber was crazy and unexpected but was it my imagination or did u face look more realaxed?
The harsh line frown lined weren't set as deeply and my jaw didn't clinch tightly as usall .Amber was looking for some type of friendship but I wasn't sure if I was down for one.
Half an hour I pulled up in front of Annie's place with my new red bike and texted her I was outside still no reply.
I rang the door bell and annie's mom stumbled out of the front door . She looked up at me with a smile.
"Hello Bella, how are you?"
"I'm good ma'am, is Annie home?"
"Yes dear ,she's hasn't come out her room since morning,could you please find out what's wrong with you friend"?
Annie's mom said with a bit of worry on her face.
"Can I come in ?,she will open up the door once she knows it's me"I affrimed confidently.
"my bad ,please come in dear".
I walked past the lobby and went up to Annie's room .I let a loud bang on her door.
"Open up Annie it's me ,bella"
"Go away"she retored quickly.
"Please we've gotta talk,I need to see my best friend".
She opens up the door and asks,
"What brings you to my house? raising her eyebrows knowing I was eager to see her,really?
I pushed the door open and sat on the bed across from her with a concerned expression on my face.
"What's going on with you, Annie?"my voice sounding a bit blunt."
Annie stood up from her bed before responding,she hugged a breath gaining back control of herself .
"My parents are getting a divorce "she wispered as eyes blurred with tears and before I knew tears were streaming down her cheeks.
"Oh sweetie"I cooed as she paced around the room and I embraced her in my arms while she cried on my shoulder.i rubbed her back while trying to sooth her.
Once my tears ran dry I lifted my head and looked at my best friend with a small sad smile letting her know that I really cared.
She dried her tears before she admitted shakinly " I love my father, I don't know why my parents are a divorce,it's killing me."
"How and when did you find out about the divorce?"
"Yesterday evening when I came home from your place ,my parents were having a heated argument up in their room when I overheard my dad telling my mom to sign the divorce papers.
"I'm so sorry Bella, I wish I had a better life than this ,once upon a time I had the perfect life and now It's crashing down.
"No don't be sorry,it's eventually going to get better"she let out a warm smile while I wiped off the tears rolling down her cheeks all over again.
"I want to talk to my mom about what I heared but I don't know how to go about it,my dad hasn't been home since last night"she breaks down again.
"It's ok,I've got your back ,were in this together, so when will you be coming back to school?
"Probably after the divorce case dissolves and everything goes back to unsual".
"Okay,hey Amber invited me for a house party later today at hers I shouldn't bring this up but I just want to know if it's cool by you or you want me to stick around a bit longer?
"Amber rose? ,that creep",she sneered.
"Yeah the one "I giggled
"Yeah sure to have fun "she cleared her throat.
She gets off the bed to show me out the room and i embraced her.
Annie's mom sat on the couch watching the biggie man tv show when I walked past her,she turns around to ask ".
"How is she ,did you find out what's wrong with her?"
"Yeah she's alot better ,she needs you now more than ever "Mrs Sandra.
"Thank you "she sighs and my regards to your mom"
"IL send your regards"i replied then shutting the door behind me.

The evening breeze wraped around me like a blanket .Am I really going to be in a party without Annie for the very first time,yes.
I need to be there for her at the same time and catch some fun.
I walked down the sidewalk, the bar Amber told me to meet her so she could take me to her house party, waving at my Uber driver,I could hear low chatter spilling all over the building when a random lady existed the bar , holding the doors open for me.
I skilled walking past the woman into the bar that was already packed with people at their separate tables at the bar top talking to one another.
Suddenly I felt akward know this wasn't a house party but a bar party with lots of guest both from starfeild highand outside our school and i was alone apparently and I couldn't catch glimpse of Amber.
What felt even worse was knowing my outfits dosent fit at all ,the distressed short tight gown was making it uneasy for me to breath.
I'm naturally anxious which probably explains why my heart is ticking in my chest like a bomb about to go off, at least thats what i felt like.
I went into the bathroom to make some adjustments
"What am I doing here?, I whispered to my reflection in the large mirrow outlined in a gold scent.
I don't fit here ,I want to try and make friends before college beacuse I feel akward and shy .
"I furrowed my eye brows,"get it together" I sad thinking it would give me some confidence magically.
"A bathroom pep talk ? I like it ". A random voice chimmed in easily.
My eyes widened in surprise looking behind me at the woman who I recognize as the genator lady from my school.
"Why do I always end up embarrass myself talking to my self in the bathroom and a random woman happens to walk in...thanks universe.
good evening, Mrs Sophia I greeted"
She was the school janitor lady; she had been in the school for God knows how long.i also think she's in her late 30's.
She was responsible for making sure the school, classrooms, hallway were kept clean.
I really don't know if she's married with kids or even married at all . But these were the few things I've known about her.
'' Good evening to you too, Sophia responded back.
''fine, I know you're a bit nervous but no need to be, your secret is safe with me''
''what secret I don't understand?.I asked confused
''well let's say what happened to you on the day you went missing it took something from you and gave you another ."
I could only wonder if sophia was drunk or just blabbing.
"what it means is that you posses strength within you, you could be experiencing stranger things.
She dips her hands into her bags and brings out an amulet.
''Here take this, esure you always have this on, and don't take it off except during night time .
'' how did you know about what had happen to me?.I asked deeply confused this time.
''you're mom contacted the school the day you went missing and immediately some staffs who were still around were all interrogated and I was one of them."
"Okay thanks , are you also a guest here or what?.
However when I haered the slight sound coming from outside the door ,I took my leave walking past Sophia and excited to leave the bathroom completely
"Ok enjoy the party, ma'am" I said in a hurry on my way out .
"And you too Bella ".
