Synopsis
Kyvin Licht is one of the rarest individuals to be able to join a sophisticated military in a world that has been in a long-term battle against the insatiable Hellions of the Otherrealm. But then, an incident causes his hellion powers to surface. He then finds himself involved with the Ordinal Legion — a group of immortal soldiers that fought the Old Hellion War — who knows about a prophecy secret only to them, which possesses his fate of either befalling the world into another War with the Otherrealm or leading it to its salvation. However, with the Ordinal Legion’s sole purpose of protecting the world, they rather find the young soldier as a worldly threat and attempt to end him once and for all. But after surviving due to his new nature, Kyvin must embark on a journey and learn about the past while keeping himself out of the Ordinals’ pursuit. Later on, he finds out that there’s more to him than being a Hellion-blooded human. More than a human. More than a soldier. Note: This is a re-released version.

Chapter 1 - Foreword & Dedication

Foreword

I, hereby, welcome you to the byproduct of thousands of hours of hard work and unrelenting ambition from the mind of a curious person that possessed wonders born from my imagination, humbly expressed in words. I honestly never thought that I would be making such a work, and even get to finish it.

It was sudden, having the idea of every single thing beyond this note that became thousands of descriptive experiences. This concept was born back in early 2020, and it wasn't easy going through difficulties of keeping the motivation alive in writing this, as well as maintaining a compelling plot, at least for me. On the last page, being able to type 'END OF BOOK 1' was quite an achievement as this project took a little over two years to write.

During the process, this shaped me and helped me learn more about what I can do, of how far my mind can stretch in making an image of an impossible world, with characters named and based on a few of those in my circle who were indeed remarkable. And I have fair hopes that this work becomes remarkable to you, the reader, as well.
