Chapter 6 - Traces of the Princess

The mansion, which looks like a palace and was built centuries ago, is still standing strong. It's a shame there's no happiness in the wide yard as far as the eye can see. a costly cigar on an elderly finger, the smoke rising in the air, leaving numerous stories and deep wounds. So many years of living alone have suddenly become worthless.

"Sir, don't you want to give up yet?" Antonio inquired, pouring him a drink. "More than two decades of squandered time were spent searching all corners of the globe, and the traces vanished without any sign."

The bodyguard's opinion was disagreeable to the old eyes. "I know you care deeply about my daughter, but Bella chose another man back then."

Then, staring at the gorgeous castle but devoid of life, there was only an old guy with no heir. "If he had married you, my soul would have quietly let go of all of this."

Antonio was silently fiddling with the glass in his hand. The amount of drink sipped does not quench thirst. His love has passed away, leaving only lovely memories. A special, hidden night with him, as though they were romantically inebriated. Unfortunately, the great Lord disallowed the relationship between the lovely princess and the guardian, and the adored angel then silently fled from home.

To his utter dismay, the lover fled with a stranger. The quest for Mr. Benigno's daughter is put on hold, as is the love of Bella, who goes aground halfway. Antonio attempts to swap with other ladies, but his heart remains firmly attached to her. Belladonna was my first and only love. "I hope she's happy wherever she is," he added, concluding the talk, swallowing the rest of the drink, and leaving the old man alone.

Mr. Benigno's hard breathing caused the trustworthy bodyguard to vanish from sight for a brief while. He bears no implied resentment. They both failed to win Belladonna's heart. The heir's daughter vanished without a trace decades ago. Where have you gone, baby? His mind continued asking questions.

Mrs. Anastasia smiled pleasantly as she held a baby girl in an enormous family portrait that was placed on the wall. But neither of them has left a tightness in Mr. Benigno's chest.

A terrible mistake has squandered their beautiful daughter behind a family conflict. Please accept my apologies, Anastasia! He complained for a long time, regretting the fact that he was getting older without children or a partner to spend his life with.

Someone on the other end was reached by the device's appointment. A male voice receives a call with shocking news, given that prospects of finding the princess have vanished. "Hello, Sebastian!" he exclaimed enthusiastically.

"Sir, you must not believe my words!" said Sebastian, who was overjoyed. "We discovered what you've been looking for for years through your colleague, Mr. Alano."

He stood up straight, surprised, and without the cane that had been accompanying him all this time. "Tell me, don't waste any more time, asshole!" Mr. Benigno felt misled emotionally. "What's the news, and where are you now?"

Sebastian's tone softened and became more pleasant. The great master is unaware that the delight that arises in him can only be conveyed via a distant gadget link. "Please pardon me for my attitude, sir. I'm currently in New York, following in your daughter's footsteps."

The initial report sounded nonchalant. In his fatigue, he travels the world in search of Benigno Edoardo's ancestors' missing gems.

"Is she still alive? Please say so quickly!" he exclaimed. The withered old man's eyes widened suddenly. Sebastian never lied about Antonio, who had been a family member to him for a long time.

"Sorry, sir, but Belladonna has been gone for a long time," remarked the guard stationed on the American continent.

Mr. Benigno's body became limp as he listened helplessly to something that had finally happened. His wife and children were buried in the earth while he was dying of sin. Long life causes more misery than it should.

The boudoir door was abruptly opened, and Antonio, seeing that the enormous master was standing unsteadily, shot back into his seat. "Mr. Benigno, who did you call in the middle of the night like this?" he grumbled, believing the old grandfather had already entered the room after being gone just now.

He seized the wrinkled hand's device. "Hello?" he called out.

Sebastian yelled, "Antonio?" "Is the great master all right?" His concerns grew after chatting briefly to relay the sad news. "I mistakenly stated that his daughter died ten years ago."

Oh, God! It was Antonio's time to weep as he looked at Mr. Benigno, who was crying in his heart. They have truly been unable to accept the truth that their beloved daughters and lovers have abandoned them. "Go home, Sebastian; I believe your work is finished."

"No, brother, it's not over yet!" He flatly refused. "The traces of the great master's daughter are still there, but not in New York; if you don't believe me, come here, damn!"

"What do you mean?" Antonio's brow furrowed as he considered his colleague's response. "Now that Belladonna is no longer alive, you don't have to play games. "Come back to Milan now; your place is here, bastard!" he yelled.

A lengthy laugh resonated. Soon after, Sebastian said something that would have been impossible to understand if the two of them hadn't gone to witness it for themselves. "Tell Mr. Benigno that my job is almost done when he allows you to fly to America tomorrow morning."

Bastardo! Antonio hissed at them to end their chat. His fellow workers were so serious, he couldn't believe what they were doing was working. Although the seasons change, Bella's love remains painful. "Please take a rest, sir. "It's too late; it's not good for your health," he said as he led the elderly guy into the room. "I'm going to New York to check on Sebastian's report."

Mr. Benigno has always kept a careful eye on his dependable protection. "Do you have a reason to follow him there?" But Antonio shook his head vigorously. Disappointment struck the vulnerable spirit once more. "Why else go to America if there's nothing to please you?"

"You'll hear it from me later." Take a moment for inner serenity concerning Bella and Mrs. Anastasia." Antonio's smile conceals a mystery in order to expose his past.

After the great master went to sleep, he contacted Sebastian again to learn more about his search so far. It's incredible if something missing reappears unexpectedly.

After Antonio has stopped worrying about long-gone love, the sufferings of teammates are profoundly appreciated. Belladonna, you have the heart to leave without one last message for me! He swore angrily.

Why did it take ten years to learn about her condition? A query he couldn't answer. He had no choice but to come and see for himself.
