"My lady, awaken!" I heard a
voice calling out to me, its tones piercing through the depths of my slumber. It was as if the voice came from my dreams, gradually growing more loud as it called me back to the waking world.
With a tired motion, I gradually woke up from my sleep, sitting up in bed as I ran my fingers through my hair. A soft yawn escaped my lips, and I stretched my arms upward, feeling the pleasant pull of tired muscles awakening. Rubbing the remnants of sleep from my sightless eyes, I yearned for the familiar sight of the world around me, but all I saw was myself—a reminder that Corvus was lending me his vision.
"Why am I up so early?" I murmured, sleep still clinging to my voice. Corvus, had always respected and protected my need for precious beauty sleep. Yet, in this moment, I couldn't help but wonder why he denied me the much-needed rest that I craved.
