Part 3
With the sliding balcony door now closed, Haruko was leaning his back on it.
(What the hell is going on right now?)
Haruko rested the back of his head on the glass window.
He slightly moved the curtains and glanced outside the window. Haruko could see that the girl was still out there on the balcony. The girl was crouched over, facing away from the window.
(She hasn't moved from that spot; well, not like she could go anywhere looking like that)
The girl was naked.
She was doing her best to cover herself.
Haruko quickly turned away.
There were multiple thoughts going through his head, but he could not shake one.
He could not leave her like this.
Not like this.
(It doesn't look like she has much. No clothes, no money, and most likely no home either.)
Haruko could hear her mumbling outside.
(I guess it would not be too bad to help her)
With a grunt, Haruko pushed himself off the wall and walked to his bed. He grabbed a loose bed sheet out of the pile of clothes and walked back to the balcony window.
The girl was crouched over, trying her best to cover her nudity.
"This is the worst. All alone in the city with nothing. Maybe it was a mistake to come here".
She was all alone on the balcony.
Tears were slowly forming in her eyes.
Suddenly the balcony sliding window opened, which startled the girl.
"Please don't come any closer," the girl said, trying to cover herself.
The girl heard footsteps approaching her.
I'll leave and won't bother you any more.
She stopped talking when she felt something being thrown at her.
It was soft.
The girl was surprised.
As the cover wrapped around her body, she looked up at Haruko.
She could not get a read on him.
"You are going to get a cold if you go around walking with nothing on. I don't understand what is going on with you, but I have a feeling, one I cannot explain, that you need help"?
That statement surprised the girl.
"I'm not going to hurt you. For some reason, I can't turn you away like this. I couldn't live with myself if I did."
