_It's getting harder executing mutants or zombies. It's like they also level up._ Noah thought seriously as he bend down to pick a ancient goatskin scroll which dropped after killing the fly.
[Ding! Host has gain a one time use ability, 'Sharp perception.' Your awareness will be temporary increase after using it and it can last for 20 minutes.]
Without wasting much time he shove it into his pocket.
"It feels like it's gonna rain any moment from now." Noah mutter as he raise his head upward, staring at the gloomy and dark weather he decides to find a shelter.
_I definitely can't continue moving in this weather and plus I don't know if the rain has turn coruscating because of the disruptions brought to earth." With such belief he sped up his movement and head for one class with broken window.
Unbeknownst to him, a pair of crimson eyes peered from the treetops above coldly, watching him with predatory intent. The moment he set foot inside the classroom, the creature slunk down from its harness silently and made a dash for the door, only to skid to a halt and hastily retreat back into the shadows of the foliage.

Rumble~
The thunderous sound echoed throughout the city with a few streaks of lightening dancing across the sky in a striking manner.
The sun was already covered by the dark clouds, making it look more like nighttime.
Noah entered the room and cast a wary glance around the dark interior, his muscles coiled and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. The overturned chairs, shattered glass, and ominous stains of blood spoke of the horrific events that had transpired within these walls. Despite the silence that now reigned, he could imagine the terror the students experience before their demise.
"Sigh, things have change now. Hopefully my family are safe. I have to get stronger or one day I will be the one on the floor" Noah lampoon but even him doubt himself after witnessing the barrage of events.
_Now that I think of it, why is my race "Unknown"?_ He frown, _Don't tell me I mutate during those experiments?_
Rumble ~!
Right at that moment, with heavy storm and lightening drops of rain start falling slowly turning to heavy rainstorms.
The weather turn frigid cold that Noah wonder if he was still a normal human he might have caught a cold.
_Tsk, I still feel a bit cold even with the little bit of superpower I got._
Picking one of the good looking overturned chairs, Noah sat down and took some rest with his axe resting on his lap.
Thinking back to how easily he abandoned his schoolmates Noah frown and thought, _I didn't even feel any guilt, it's like it was a normal thing I did. This is unlike me.
Ever since I awoke from there I've lost half of my emotions._
Massaging his temples as he thought, Noah sigh and mutter with a monotonous tone, "It's of no use thinking of it. Rather I should plan how to increase my strength and get my family."
Thinking back to the tons of novel he read, Noah has a vague feeling that he will experience a quantitative surge in strength after reaching either level 10, 15 or 20. It's like he will have a breakthrough to the next level getting his class and abilities!
This alone made him feel thrill and his blood boiling.
He even had the urge to jump into the rain and go look for zombies and mutant to hunt, that way he will level up faster and probably be the first on earth to experience the feeling of leveling up.
Crrrrrrrrrr
Suddenly like a metal being scrap against each other resounded.
To Noah it was more like a thunderclap. He felt his veins pultruding and his brain almost busting.
It was like a hammer has been hammered right onto his own head. He couldn't maintain his balance and fall of the chair, he was left squirming on the floor as blood flow out of his nose and ear.

Dum~
Just when Noah thought he might go into eternal slumber from the pain, he saw a blurry text appear again and followed by his pain being elevated.
Still he wasn't able to move for about a hour and thankfully no beast enter the room or he might end up as a dinner as he won't be able to put up any resistance.

Outside of the class room in the open field.
A creature of nightmare proportions. A giant scorpion stood tall as an elephant, its massive frame radiating a scorching heat that turned the rain to mist as it fell upon its carapace. At the tip of its tail, a glistening bulb swelled with a deadly venom, and the creature's multifaceted gaze fixed upon its prey: a lone human.
Well not actually a real human but more like a mutated zombie as its red eyes were testament of who it is.
Without further delay, the zombie stomped the floor and borrowed the force to propelled himself towards the scorpion.
The scorpion too took action as it shoot bulbs upon bulbs of condensed liquid towards the zombie who agilely dodge them, the venomous liquid upon touching the floor released a sizzling sound and leaving behind scorched mark. The zombie keep shortening the distance between them at a astonishing speed.
Seeing as its attack wasn't working, the scorpion abandoned it and decides to go into a melee fight.
The scorpion charged toward the zombie, its compound eyes aglow with a sickly green light as it unleashed a wave of psionic energy which force the zombie staggered under the onslaught, its mind reeling as the mental attack made it unconsciously halt it's action.
The scorpion didn't pause as follow up with another attack. Shooting it's stinger towards the zombie's head with the intention of completely bursting it but right at that moment the zombie did something out of the mountain like scorpion expectation.
