As I finished loading my supplies onto my trusty camel, preparing to depart from Agadir, a familiar voice called out to me. The weariness in the person's voice tugged at my memory, and as I turned around, I recognized Malak, the troubled scholar whom I had once saved from the clutches of the Ifrit.
"You don't remember me? My savior, it's me, Malak. You saved me from the ifrit," he said, his voice filled with gratitude and relief.
A smile graced my lips as I approached him. "Malak, of course I remember you. It's good to see you again."
He hurriedly put away his old tomes and reached out to take my hand. "My savior, I have been searching for you tirelessly. I have important information, and I am in desperate need of your help."
Curiosity stirred within me as I listened to his plea. "What is it, Malak? What troubles you?"
He hesitated for a moment, gathering his thoughts. "The Ifrit has become more dangerous than ever. They have started forming hunting parties to attack humans. But what makes matters worse is that it is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish the more powerful Ifrit from our own kind. They possess their own language, remarkable intelligence, and wield powerful magic. Moreover, they adapt and evolve swiftly. If this continues, humans will be unable to defend themselves against their onslaught."
The gravity of the situation weighed heavily upon me. "So, they have already established settlements?"
Malak nodded, his expression filled with concern. "Yes, they have formed their own bases, from which they launch relentless attacks on unsuspecting passersby. If we allow this to persist, they will eventually annihilate us all." His eyes sparkled with a mix of hope and apprehension. "I have managed to locate one of their hideouts. However, I am still unaware of their true intentions and plans."
"Alright, then let us go and purge this evil from our land." I replied. "But I need to stop somewhere first."
"I understand. Then, I will meet you in the Fiti Lava Void in a week's time. Stay safe, benefactor. May the light guide you."
Malak waves goodbye, and proceeds to wander off to the desert alone.
It's time to go.
