The land of the rising sun, Nihon, stood as the centre stage for the warring states for over a century. Countless lives perished and rivers of bloodshed as the leading clans fought for dominance.
Out of the chaos there came a period of order and peace. To maintain harmony and strengthen relations, several clans reconciled with one another–forming new alliances.
One such coalition was between the Kasai and Inazuma clans of the Fire and Lightning regions, respectively. The prince of the Inazuma clan married the princess of the Kasai clan, and they had two sons.
Twenty-five years later, the oldest son, Kazuma, succeeded his mother as the daimyo upon her death. The masses adored Lord Kazuma as he excelled at his role. However, his son–Kazuo, would later grow to resent him for his absence.
Four years into his reign, Kazuma placed Kazuo under the tutelage of his most trusted samurai. General Rohan became a role model and father figure to the young heir.
