Casiano had mentioned sending a bodyguard to pick her up after class, so she assumed they were his people and stood her ground. However, the leader of the group, a man with a scar, approached her with an unfriendly demeanor.
"Ms. Barton, are you acquainted with Mr. White?" he inquired.
At the mention of 'Mr. White,' Alla's heart tightened, and her grip on her textbook trembled. Casiano had warned her that if Mr. White's identity were exposed, it could be life-threatening. How did this man know about Mr. White?
Alla clenched her fist, attempting to stay calm, and feigned a defensive stance. "Who are you, and how do you know my name?"
Naturally, the man didn't reveal his identity to Alla or his intentions. He simply demanded coldly, "Just answer whether you know him or not."
