Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven

"How," Wade said. Zander looks. "If I fatally hurt, my dragon DNA takes over and heals me and covers my body in scales," Zander said. Viper smirks. "You're welcome," she said. "For what all you did was push me out, you are not my mother," he said. Wade grins and cocks his gun. "He has a mom by the name Colossus," he said. Logan pulled up. "Viper, what do you want," he said. "Really," Zander said. Wade laughs. "This great your mom and dad are here," he said, laughing. Logan looks. "I don't have kids," He said. Zander held up the DNA paperwork. Viper walks over. "He belongs with his kind," she said. "I belong with family," Zander told as his neck and throat reddened. Wade put his hand on his shoulder. "I got this, baby," he said, and he and Logan nodded and started to fight Viper. Zander was coughing up blood and fell over, holding his throat. Viper smirks. "Took a while, but the poison is starting to kick in. If you want to live, come find me, or you have 12 hours," she said and left. Zander couldn't speak, his eyes watering. Wade rushes over and opens a bottle of water. He took some of his mouth and slowly gave it to Zander. Zander grips Wade's shoulders, painfully swallowing. "Take it slow," Wade said. Logan called the Professor and told him the update. "Don't move him," Jean said and rushed out. Zander was scared for the first time in his life. Wade cleans off his mouth. "Logan, where did she go," Wade asks, putting his coat under Zander's head. "Probably back to Japan," he said and looked at Zander. "He didn't need this; I kept him from my life fuck" he said. Wade walks over. "I get that, Logan, but it happened, and we have to save him. I can't lose another person I love," he said. Logan nods and looks, seeing Jean arrive with Scott. Jean rushed over to Zander. Zander had passed out. "He is barely breathing, Logan," she said. "Viper said we have 12 hours to save him," Logan said. Jean was checking on him. "True, the poison is moving slowly in his body, but due to it being so close to his heart, cut that 12 in half," she said. Scott slowly picks him up and carries him to the jet. "Logan, they said she was in Japan, and you know where," he said. Logan nods. "Wade, stay by his side. He needs you," Logan said. Wade wanted to go with Logan, but he went with Jean to Zander. Scott was hooking him up. Wade watched and took his hand. "Please, Logan, save him," he whispers. Wade moves Zander's hair from his face. "You are terrific." Zander twitched a little in his sleep. Wade was holding his hand and tracing his tattoos. Scott saw how he cared. Logan went to kill Viper. "Give me the antidote, you crazy bitch" he said. Viper smirks. "Give me Zander," she said. Logan struck her and saw the vile, and picked it up. "If you come near my son again, I will kill you myself," he said. Logan left. Wade was asleep holding Zander's hand. Jean went to check on Zander and saw it. She smiles. His heart rate was slow and would stop and start. "Zander stays with us," Jean said. "Logan should be home soon." Wade sat up. "Jean is he okay," he asked. "No, his heart keeps stopping," Jean said. Wade was worried. "Logan, come on," he said. Zander's heart stopped. "Zander, don't," Wade said. "You can't leave me hear." Logan ran in and handed it to Jean. "Logan he, " She said. Wade took it and opened Zander's mouth, and poured it in. He started CPR. "Wade, stop. He is gone," she said. "No" he said and kept going.
