RP = Reader Points
To check to see which elements on possesses, on has to go to use a special device. Since the device is expensive people normal use the one at the adventurer's guild. For me though, checking is much more convenient.

Well this is sad. I have no elements right now. For me though that's not a problem. Focusing on store a filter through to find the different elements.
Water: 1,000 RP
Wind: 1,000 RP
Earth: 1,000 RP
Fire: 1,000 RP
Lightening: 2,000 RP
Ice: 2,000 RP
Light: 5,000RP
Darkness: 5,000 RP
Neutral: 10,000
Space: 10,000
I can buy any element I want. The challenge for me is to find more books. Continuing with "Fundamentals of Mana", I find that people also possess a fixed amount of mana. I think that I may be able to increase my mana by adding onto INT and WIS while adding relevant skills. This is all too exciting. I can't wait to use magic. I think I'll start off with water magic. It's not the best magic for fighting, but it will make life much easier. For example, I'll be able to use the clean spell with is like an instant bath. Even though the books is about magic, the rest of it is a bit bland due to the way it's written. As soon as I finish it, I hear new alerts. [For finishing uncommon level book user gains 500 Reader Points.] [User gains the Mana Control skill] [User gains 50 exp]. This book seems a lot more rewarding than the one from the novice package. That might be due to it be harder to get and more difficult to read. Anyways this is what my new status looks like.

A few footsteps draw my attention away from my status. I look up and see two strangers next to the twins. The woman looks more like the twins than the man in the face but has brown hair instead of the twin's red hair. She is quite tall and looks like a strong woman. The man on the other hand is average in height. He has orange eyes and red hair giving him a fiery look even though the expression on his face is gentle. The two adults cast me curious looks before spotting my books. I guess books are uncommon here.
The Woman introduces herself first saying, "Hi there Leah, my name is Farah and this is Roan. We've heard about you from Rex in Renna. We're happy to have you around the house. Feel free to ask us any questions." Their welcoming attitude puts me at ease. I smile to express my gratitude and state, "Thank you very much. I appreciate you letting me stay here." The man, Roan, steps into the conversation commenting, "No problem at all."
A small moment of silence ensues but is broken by Farah who announces dinner. The twins who have been quite throughout the conversation start to chip in on the way to the dinner table. Things go a lot smoother with them joining the conversation because it gives me more time to sit back and observe the conversation. During dinner, Roan asked me what I did before I got lost. Being put on the spot I answered that I lived in small, isolated village in the middle of nowhere. I don't think he believed me, but I don't know what else to tell him. Thankfully the family didn't push hard for answers. I told them about potentially working for the village doctor and they seemed happy for me. They said that sounded great, since they wouldn't be able to stay home with me.
Soon after dinner started the younger siblings arrived. There were to rowdy little boys who seem around 5 and 7 years old. Their names are Kaleb and Percy. Unlike the twins the inherited their mother's brown hair and father's orange eyes. Thankfully the Kaleb and Percy don't seem to mind me joining in with the family. I'm glad I don't seem to be disrupting the family.
During dinner I also picked up some important details. Apparently the country where we are, Atresh, has a famous magic academy. I hope I can go their some day. That day will have to wait till I settle down some more though. After all, it's not like I'm in a rush because I have the skill immortality. Speaking of that, I probed a bit during dinner regarding the skill and just systems in general, and the family had no inkling of what I was talking about. I guess I'm truly an anomaly here. Sleeping in the same room as Renna, I relax and reflect on the hectic day I've had before falling asleep.
I feel something nudging me and wake up. It's Renna. She quickly tells me that she has to go out to work and asks me if I can take care of myself before telling me a few key details about the house such as where food is. I mumble back an affirmative response before waking up again later. When I'm fully awake, I take my time to stretch before starting my day. My breakfast consists of a loaf of bread and some water. I miss of big breakfast. Then I have to think about how keep myself clean. As sad as it is there is no toothpaste here, no floss, no shampoo. I feel doomed. What type of genes do these fantasy world people have that they can look so good with so little effort.
They probably have their own methods for these types of things but still. It's unfair. In the middle of my negative thoughts, I suddenly think of my system. With 600 RP, I can actually buy stuff from the shop. I browse through the selections and easily find what I am looking for. These types of daily necessities are actually quite cheap. The sum of them is on 50RP in total. That's for a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Maybe it's because they are disposable products. That leaves me with 550RP. As for baths I'll just have to find a stream. The idea scares me. What if someone peeps on me or a wild animal attack me while bathing. It's just terrible. This is my motivation to learn the clean spell.
I use the well water to clean up before settling down by my reading tree. This time I'm going to start on the "Basics of Medicine" book. Soon after started I become bored. This book is like some sort of encyclopedia. Compared to the other books I've read while here it's a much more difficult read. I work on powering through though. This would be much easier if I had somewhere to take notes to organize my thoughts. After what I think is an hour, I take a break. That makes me think. I wish I had a clock or just some way to tell the time. Maybe I can find something like that in the city.
I really want to go to the city. Before going to the city, I have a few concerns to address though such as how to safely travel there, accumulating some cash to spend, and finding the right opportunity to leave the village. It's a bit ridiculous to think of leaving the village right after arriving, especially with how kind everyone's been in letting me stay here. When the time comes though, I'll happily go.
