Trevor Lawrence White had just had a serious fight with his girlfriend Shelia Mitchell during which she revealed that she was pregnant, and was not even sure he was the father.
He remembered that night too well, she had been stone drunk and was about to get into trouble with some unsavory fellows. They looked like ruffians numbering four in total, following her as she stagger walked, wolf whistling and using some derogatory terms he would not dare use on a woman, worse still, one of them tried to grab her inappropriately at one point when she missed her step and stumbled
