{I see... so, you've met him as well… thou I shouldn't say this for he is my benefactor but… be careful when dealing with him… after all he… at the end of the day is still an evil god…
I don't know what you gave or promised him for a second chance of life, but just remember he doesn't take failure lightly!} said Breder with in the most sternly way he could muster
[I know! I made this deal out of my own free will… I won't complain in the end!] replied Layla
{Good! I will help you achieve your revenge! On this I swear on my alien comic book collection!} replied Breder cheerfully
[...] replied Layla but in her mind, she thought [what's a comic?]
After a few minutes of continued banter
{Alright, now that we're done catching each other up, Elphe escort Layla here to Mirielye, and make sure to instruct her to protect Layla with her life! Though that shouldn't even need to be said…] said Breder
{Aren't you coming?} questioned Layla
{Sorry but it looks like I need to "entertain" some very much invited guests! It looks like killing that man must have alerted the "beehive"!
I would invite you to the party but… unfortunately you won't be much use in your current form… but don't worry! You'll get big in no time! But for now, just let Elphe and I extract part of that vengeance for you!} said Breder while opening his arm wide in excitement
Seeing the excitement on Breder face Layla couldn't help but ask:
[why…why do you like killing so much? I know it kind of rude to ask but…] questioned Layla puzzling
{umm… ask me that question again after you've hunted your first kill, then I will tell you! Only after that would you be able to fully understand what I have to say on that matter.} said Breder with a cheeky grin
After questioningly nodding, Layla left to the "hidden room" with Elphe, while Breder looking through the dark and gloomy prison stared at the exit door as the lights on the door bottom lit up!
Waltin and men POV
[Sir! John is dead!] yelled the officer in charge of watching the crew life light.
Startled by the officer sudden outburst waltin ask:
[what happened? What was he doing? And who was the last to see him? And will you calm down!] said Waltin still slightly annoyed at the officer's outburst
[I don't know, captain! but I do believe he is one of the heads of security men! I'll page him now!] said Vycent
[This is the head of scrutiny speaking. Tizz... What do you need first mate?... Tizz] replied the "head"
[James where John?... Tizz] asked Vycent over the coms
[John… Oh! right I sent him to go get the "stress relief" ... And before you say anything it's been a tough week on the men and their… getting a bit… how should I say it… "rowdy"... Tizz] replied James
[James, this isn't the time to be joking! John's life light has gone out! You'll need to confirm if he is ok or if he's really dead! ...tizz...] yelled Vycent angry
Of course, hearing that his life light went out deeply concerned James for they already had checked out that part of the ship a week ago! Sure, the lights and cameras still aren't working since the damage in the upper deck caused by a delayed bomb damaged several compartments, but the cargo bay should be fine… if not a little creepy.
[Ok... I will organize a team and investigate the situation! Tizz...] replied James
[Alright men we are heading into the cargo bay now, two in the front and two in the back while I'll be in the middle... Understood!] yelled James
[yes sir!] replied the men
[Good! Now I don't know why John went into the cargo bay unarmed... Maybe he felt it was safe, I don't know! But what I do know is that we may have a possible murder on board… Having said that, it's our job to find out! Understood!] yelled James
[Yes sir!]
While observing his men's calm demeanor, he knew they were ready! With doors opened they charge in the bay! As lights passed each cell, they all gave the ok, as their light illuminated the dark and lifted just a little bit of the gloomy atmosphere the men continued on…
with each red stop they checked on the slaves, with each flash they noticed that the slaves were still in the same corners, where they saw them a week ago! But they wouldn't dare approach the cell bars no matter how much the security team yelled or threatened them.
As they continued to walk, they passed through puddles of unknown liquid, they would feel dripping goo off the ceiling roof… they would see blackish substance protruding on the cold steel floor, visibly noticing the physical changes in scenery as they continued further down the hall.
With their heart racing they wonder to themselves, how the hell did John make it this far without turning back?
With each step they got closer to Layla cell, with each step the room got darker, with each step their shoes would stick, with each further step they noticed the red lights were all dead but one! While it flickered it red glow James called Waltin
[Reporting in... tizz...! We're about to arrive at John's last known location! tizz... Reporting some oddities… I don't believe we have a human murder on board like I originally proposed... tizz... I think…tizz...] replied James
[Think what? tizz...] asked Vycent
James didn't reply because he was nervously approaching Layla's cell! A cell to his surprise was very much open! With a flash he noticed the melted bars! With a flash he saw John! Seeing that John had died to a blow to the head he flashed his light deeper into the cell to Layla's corpse!
As he stared wide eyed at the corpse the men heard scratching noises around them! They heard bangs and slave cries! They zipped their lights back and forth trying to find anything they could!
While James approaches Layla's corpse he notices that something didn't Rip into her but tore its way out! Scared Jamed made another call
[Reporting... tizz… found John... tizz... His dead…tizz…found the slave girl…tizz… dead... tizz... Not murder... tizz] said James
[not murdered?] repeated Vycent confused
[Yes, not murdered! tizz... Killed... Tizz… MONSTER! ...tizz… Gun firing noise…tizz] replied James
A few moments before the firing started
As James was calling in for the second time the guard outside the cell heard a pipe banging! While shining his light in that direction, with rising nerves, the man lowered his gun for a second when right at the same time a monster dropped from the ceiling crushing him instantly, while simultaneously slicing off his head with his tail as he laid under the foot of the monster!
The monster then clawed at the other guard who just turned around the moment the monster stepped on his companion. Before the guard could even raise his gun, the monster clawed through his gun breaking while also impaling him with both his hands!
With a flick of the wrist the monster tore the man in two sending the upper half of the man into the cell across the hall, landing right at the feet of an inmate! With organs spurring and blood pumping out! The slave, though starved for a week, couldn't help but throw up what he could!
While bathed in human blood the monster gave a screeching roar! Startled, the other guards turned to shoot, when a green yellowish glom came flying in hitting one right in the face! With, melting face the man screamed! With flashing light, the man fired in wild abandonment!
With stray bullets hitting another man, as another monster jumped down from above and killed him!
Now stuck in the middle between two monsters! The frightened man opened fired at the monster in the front! Only to be torn in two by the two monsters as they charged at him at the same time! While one monster held his legs another held his head in his claws!
With a crush he destroyed the head, while stepping on the com device on the floor! As the monster left the cell, they looked towards the door only to hear it bolted shut, while the whole cargo shook valiantly!
[Seal the bulkheads in the cargo bay! NOW!] yelled Waltin, as he and all those on deck could hear the dying screams the security team.
[Sir the bulkheads aren't holding!] replied the scared system manager
[Shit! If the bulkheads can't stop them…] said the captain as he looked at the fearful eyes of his men.
[Do we have any other security force?] yelled Waltin?
[No Sir! They died in the explosion on the upper deck a week ago! Don't you remember!] replied Vycent
[Shit! Shit!!] replied Waltin with much anger
[Sir! The bulkheads are about to give!] yelled the manager
With his hands on his head Waltin had no choice, though he hated to have to make this choice, his life and that of the crew took priority over profits! So, he gave the order:
[Detach the cargo bay! NOW! If you want to live, don't argue with me! Just Do it!] yelled Waltin as he stared at the empty life lights that once belonged to the security team, watching them go out one at a time, coupled with their screams over the inner coms, would be something he and his officer will never forget.
