Chereads / Fated Elven Queen / Chapter 8 - Blissful Moments

Chapter 8 - Blissful Moments

Odir takes Aika to have breakfast, mostly to watch more of her details.

She likes cheese, black coffee, and toasts with scrambled eggs. She loves nature, he could notice that when she mentioned she wanted to sit near the plants, so she could smell them. She's a nerd, but for knowing many things. He loves her more and more.

"Your hobbies are only tattooing and music?" He asks.

"I like to draw. Bo taught me to tattoo and I liked it. Music is fun, but, most of the times is for getting extra money. I like projecting games. I think that and tattooing are more like hobbies." She tells.

"Games? What do you mean?"

She pulls up her phone, and launches a game to show him. It's a game about airport operations.

"You did this? This is awesome, Aika!" He says, amazed as he plays it.

"It's just a prototype. I need to change, and add many things, but it's going baby steps on my own."

"You did this alone?" He asked, even more impressed, and she nods." It's a great idea, this game. Did you know that?"

"Thanks. Someday, I'll make it official." She answers, smiling.

"You're full of talents." He wraps his arm around her again.

"What about you? Being a CEO surely is not easy." She asks, trying to know more about him too.

"I think you do the hard thing. I'm just projecting good accomplishments with my team of directors, but who makes it real is you." He tells, she's still smiling.

"And your hobbies?"

"I'm not sure… I think that watching series and movies. Flying."

"Piloting must be nice." She speaks with a smile so beautiful that made his heart flutter.

"At home, I have a flight simulator for the days I can't really fly, but it is not the same feeling." He tells, getting closer." My new hobby will be flying to meet you." She giggles.

"For real or on the simulator?" She asks.

He laughs with her.

"For real, of course." He answers, passing his finger on her hair.

It would be better to live in Cankyoto, but if he tells her that she might think things are going too fast. And he doesn't want to scare her away.

"My life is always related to our job, even talking about hobbies. I think I need to try new things.."

"It's good trying new things. We might discover good things, and opportunities. Aviation was like that for me. I got kicked out of a clothing shop, then a friend indicated me to Alpha Airways, and I liked it. The dynamics is great, not only some paxs, of course." Her voice was painful at the end.

"I imagine. What was the worst scenario you went through? With a pax, I mean." He asks, really curious.

"A guy slapped my face." She tells, and he chokes with his coffee.

"What?" He asks, coughing, and astonished.

"The flight was canceled. He wanted to be prioritized above everyone, and to create a plane for him. He was screaming at Doug, so I went there to try calming him down, and explain how things worked. He offered me money to put him on a sooner flight, and I declined. He called me a hooker, and slapped my face, saying I should obey him." She tells, looking kind of having fun telling the story, but his heart sank realizing what kinds of dangers his mate is exposed to.

What a son of a b**! And what happened?" He asks, angry.

"I punched him, more to make a distance between us. When he fell on the ground, some other paxs held him and some made a circle around me for protection, because the guy got pissed at being beaten by a girl." She tells, laughing, and takes a sip of coffee." The police came and took him. Grant took the footage, and sent it to the regional director, with the pax's name and ID, so he would never again fly with us."

"Wasn't he arrested or something?" He asks, still furious.

"Yeah. He paid me indemnity. The money I got from him I paid part of my bike, and it's sidecar." She answers, making him a bit calmer, but he's still shaken.

Just to imagine his mate being hurt makes his mind burn.

"Sh*t… At least that. That's why I say you do the hard part." He softly says, but hiding a real pain in his heart.

She checks the hour.

"Let's go? I'm sure Bo is waiting already." She asks.

"Sure. Can we stop somewhere, so I can buy some clothes? My home is a bit far, so you don't get delayed, I can stop somewhere to change." He asks. She nods.

They go to a clothing shop, and he chooses some clothes. She notices that he doesn't even check the price of the clothes, and just pays for them. He's paying for everything for her too since yesterday.

At Route 66 Bar, behind the stage there's a door that leads to a tattoo shop, with many sofas, and a big TV. There are some rock and roll biker style people there, men and women, most of them warmly greet Aika.

Bones appears from a corridor, and smiles widely when he sees Aika. He hugs her tightly, and kisses her head. He greets Odir too, shaking hands.

"I was curious to watch Aika tattooing, and I came to watch. Hope you don't mind." Odir asks Bones.

"No! Not at all. I'll tattoo her first, since my tattoo will be on my forearm and will make it harder to tattoo later." Bones tells.

"Ok. Cool."

"I had prepared the stencils with the arts you sent me, baby. Come check." Bones says to Aika.

They go to a kind of chair that can incline or move the arms and legs, as they check the arts, Odir is starting to notice that Bones treats Aika like a daughter in his own way.

Bones has a pride on his voice, and a sweet smile, when she talks and jokes around him.

Odir is sitting, watching Bones preparing all the gear and machines he will use, and Aika cleaning and preparing the place.

The session starts, Odir is sitting near Aika's head, and wondering if it's too painful.

"Does it hurt?" He asks.

"Yes, but not too much. Depends on the person and location of the tattoo." She answers.

"You don't have tattoos, boy?" Bones asks Odir, while tattooing Aika.

"No, but Aika promised me to make my first one." Odir says, watching Bones working and the needles passing on her skin, holding her hand as a support.

"Oh yeah? What will be?"

"An airplane. A Cessna Citation X."

"An airplane? You two work together or something? It's rare wanting to tattoo an airplane." Bones asks, as he's cleaning the ink from her skin.

Aika looks at Odir, letting him answer that question.

"We work at the same company, yes, but in different fields." Odir answers, smiling, and knowing that Aika is watching his reaction, and he doesn't blame her for doing that.

"Oh, really? Now I understand why."

They keep chatting during Aika's tattoo session. Odir's heart cries seeing her in pain, but she doesn't complain even once.

Bones passes a kind of soap to her new tattoo, then records him whipping it off the bubbles, showing a hawk flying mighty.

"It looks great!" Bones says excited.

"Yeah! Looks amazing. Thanks, Bo." She says, and kiss his cheek." Need to go to the restroom. Be right back." She chuckles, walking away, she was holding up for quite a time.

"So… Are you two dating?" Bones asks Odir, after seeing that Aika is far, and while trashing the needles and other things he used.

"Yesterday was our first date. We want to keep seeing each other." Odir answers.

"I see. You live here, right? How will you date her at Cankyoto?"

"I'll go meet her there."

"I understand. I'm not saying it's impossible. I have a distant father relationship with her and Aidan." Bone says, and sighs as he scratches his shaved head." Look, it's not a threat, ok? But this girl went through a lot. If you're not serious, be clear to her."

There's no other way for a father to show he's worried, and that, actually, made Odir happy.

"I'm pretty serious about her. I'm crazy for her, but I'm sure she's a bit worried about dating the CEO of where she works. I'm just taking things on her time, but I'm serious all along." Odir says after getting closer to Bones, to look at his eyes and make things clear as water.

Bones gets shocked, his eyes almost jumping out from its sockets.

"You own Alpha Airways?!" Bones says with a low voice, fearing to scream.

"Yes. Don't worry, I'm not using my position to force her into anything, neither giving her promotions."

"Man… Either way, don't make her suffer." Bones says, breathing impressed, and trying to keep a face.

"I won't." Odir says as a statement in his mind.

Aika comes back, ending their conversation. She prepares the gears and machines she will use, shaves his forearm and places the stencil.

After agreeing together that it's in a nice position, she ties her hair in a messy bun, and starts to work.

While she's tattooing, he finds her so beautiful, he takes his phone and takes a picture of her.

Her phone started ringing, it was Aidan. Bones picks up her phone, and talks a lot with Aidan through a video call.

"When are you coming here, Bo?" Aidan asks.

"Soon, buddy. I think next week or the other." Bones answers.

"Nice! Sis and I've found a nice place for camping."

"I'm on it. I'll make us a barbecue there, then."

"Great! Oh, before I forget it again. I had something to tell sis, but now that you're there with her will be more special." Aidan says, looking more excited.

"What is it, bro?" Aika asks, stopping the machine to look at the screen too.

"Remember the exam to finish the school year earlier and jump a degree I took? Guess what? I passed!" Aidan tells happy.

"Oh my Gods, Aidan! Congratulations! I'm so happy and proud of you!" Aika happily says.

Odir is smiling, watching all the time. Happy to see her happiness.

"My genius boy! I'm so proud of you! Damn, you're amazing!" Bones says happy too.

"But how will things work then? You don't go to school anymore this year?" Aika asks.

"The school sent you a form to fill. I was reading it, and as I could understand, you can choose for special classes or to stay home schooling until next year. I'll send it to you for you to read it." Aidan explains.

Odir is impressed that a 7 years old boy talks so maturely like that.

"All right. Either way, I'm proud of you. When I come back, we will celebrate together." She says.

"All right! You come back on Tuesday night, right?"

"Yes. I'll bring dinner. Last celebration was pizza. What will be next?" She asks.

"Hamburgers! With fries and onion rings!" He excitedly says, making them laugh.

"Where all that food goes in you, man?" Bones asks.

They keep talking a bit more, while Aika goes back to work, until Aidan decides to go eat something.

"Dude, it's 3pm. Can you believe it?" Bones asks.

"I do. My session took 4 hours, Bo." She answers, still working.

"When we finish here, I'll treat you to something."

"It takes long, indeed. It's impressive how these needles work." Odir tells, watching Aika working.

"You must be bored." She says, looking at him, but smiling.

"No. Not at all, really. It's just amazing how someone needs to endure to get a tattoo." He says.

If it was another person, he would be bored, but since it's his mate, every movement she does is unique and beautiful and he loves to watch her.

"The time passes differently when you're watching. Why don't you try getting a little tattoo after me, so you can feel if it's what you want?" Bones asks Odir.

For their surprise, Odir opened a bright smile and looked excited after hearing that question.

"Sure. I'm on it!" Odir excitedly says, his mate will be marking him somehow.

"I'm afraid he will like it, and he will be like us, baby." Bones tells Aika.

"I'm almost sure, too." She laughs.

When she finishes the tattoo, she does the same Bones did. Cleaning it with soap, and then recording whipping the bubbles off, showing the black and white art of a mermaid.

"It's amazing, baby. Really. I'm in love with the details." Bones says, smiling at his new tattoo, and then hugging Aika.

After wrapping his arm, just like she did on her leg with a plastic film, she trashes the needles and cleans up everything.

Bones takes Odir to choose a little art, and prepares the stencil. Odir decides to place his tattoo on his wrist, Aika prepares everything, using new ink pots, needles, and plastics.

Odir sits on the same spot Bones was, but with his wrist up. She shaves the little hair he has to place the stencil.

"The position is good?" She asks him. He looks at the art on his wrist and smiles.

"I think it's great." He answers.

"Nice. I'll make a little line, so you feel how it is." Don't move." She tells, passing a cream with her pinky finger where she will tattoo.

He feels the needles on his skin as she strokes the line, it's more like a burning feeling.

"Everything good?" She asks, looking at him with a smile on her face.

"Yeah. It's way less painful than I thought. I don't know if I'll think the same later." He tells.

"When the skin is already injured and sore it gets worse, but it's not so much worse than now."

She keeps working, feeling a bit under pressure since she's tattooing someone that is quite famous around the aviation world.

He watches her completely melt, in love, trying to not show a weird smile all the time.

Bones watches Odir smiling at Aika sometimes, and he believes that Odir really likes Aika, thinking that maybe dating someone like Odir might be good in the end.

It's Bones' wish that Odir really is not a player, rich people tend to be that way. However, neither Bones nor Aika knows what a fated mate is. Odir cannot think of anyone else, or even anything else.
