Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

On a dark and stormy night, Clarisse was lying on the ground, bathed with the rain and her blood. Beside her stood her fiance, Eddie, looking at her mockingly. It turned out that he's been cheating on her with her cousin. Anger rose in her heart as she asked him furiously.

"Wh-why did... you do... t-thi... is? I... I w-was... so g-good... to... you. T-tell me... why?"

She asked, almost losing consciousness because of all the blood she lost. Eddie sighed and looked at her as if she was the biggest joke he had seen.

"We've been together for a lot longer than you know. You're just too dumb and gullible not to notice it."

Every word he said struck her already broken heart over and over again. The stab wounds on her back felt less painful than the pain she was feeling in her heart.

"And besides-"

He continued saying.

"I've never really loved you. I only stayed with you because of your money and because Aileen asked me to. You should be thankful to Aileen because she was so kind to you."

With that, her last straw of hope and sanity vanished as her heart slowly turned cold. Betrayed by her beloved fiance and closest cousin, she regretted everything.

"Y-you two... are the worst. If I c-could... have a second... c-chance. I swear... I w-would... let you... f-feel the p-pain... that I'm f-feeling now!"

After she said that, she took her last breath.

"Hahahaha... Good luck with that."

Eddie left as his business there was already done. Clarisse was found dead the next day. She and Eddie were supposed to get married in 3 days. Everyone suspected that it was one of her father's company rivals that killed her.

Everyone mourned her death but not Eddie and Aileen. They were just happy to get what they've always wanted...

.....

The sun shone brightly from the slightly opened curtain near the bed. Clarisse rubbed her eyed a bit groggy because of the light. She sat up from her bed and was dazed for a bit.

Suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her head as memories came flooding back. She screamed and Sarah, her maid, rushed in to check on her.

"Miss, are you okay?! Why does your head hurt? I'll go get medicine and call the family doctor."

Sarah runs outside to call the doctor and get her medicine for headaches. As soon as Sarah was gone the pain slowly subside and she was now shocked and confused.

She ran to her mirror to see if everything was real or not. She couldn't believe what she saw in the mirror. She looked younger than she did before she died.

'What is going on? I was sure that I died. How am I still alive? And why do I look so young?'

She was in a mess of what was happening. Did she die and this is heaven? She tried pinching her arm. A stinging pain came from where she pinched.

"I'm not dreaming... I'm alive? How did this happen?"

Not long after Sarah came inside her room together with her parents and their family doctor.

"Clarisse, sweety. What's wrong? Does your head still hurt?"

She was stunned to see her mother still healthy. Before her death, her mother got into an accident and she was comatose for 8 months. After she woke up, she couldn't talk or walk because she went into a stroke while comatose.

Seeing her mother talking to her again, tears streamed down her face as she ran to her arms. Although confused, her mother calmly hugged her and comforted her.

"My sweet girl, it's alright. Mom is here. Don't cry."

The more her mother coax her the more she cried. She longed for her mother to be able to go back to normal.

After a few more minutes of crying, she finally calmed down. Her mother guided her to sit on the bed as she sniffed.

"You keep forgetting your dad whenever mom is with you. Dad is sad."

Her dad said as he pretended to wipe the tears in his eyes. Her mother nudged her dad a bit and chuckled. That small gesture from her parents made her feel warm. She missed them too much.

"Ehem"

The doctor coughed behind her parents. Their family doctor had been with them for a long time and he's not a stranger to the family. Feeling a bit embarrassed, her dad cleared his throat a bit before remembering why they were there.

"Right, Dr. Luke. Can you please check if there's something wrong with Clarisse? It's a bit rare for her to get sick."

"Alright"

Dr. Luke checked her up and found out that she was having a mild cold.

"She'll be fine after drinking medicine and resting for a few days. Remember to drink lots of water while you're at it. You're a bit dehydrated."

"I will Doc. Thank you."

"I'll be going now. You go back to your drama."

He shook his head as he was heading out the door.

"I'll see you out, Dr. Luke."

Sarah also excused herself to give the family time to themselves. Richard, Clarisse's father, scratched his head in embarrassment. Claire, Clarisse's mother, shook her head a bit and chuckled. She turned back to Clarisse to remind her what the doctor said.

"You heard what Dr. Luke said. You need to drink lots of water and you also need to drink your medicine on time. Don't be stubborn, okay? Did you calm down now sweety?"

"Yes, mom. I did. Thank you for always being here with me. You too Dad. I love you guys so so much."

She smiled and hugged both of them tightly.

"Aw, sweety. We love you too. Now we're going out okay? You go rest for now."

Her mom and dad kissed her on the forehead and headed out. She smiled at them as they leave her room. As soon as she was left alone in her room, her face turned expressionless.

She thought about how she was betrayed by her fiance and her cousin. If she did go back in the past, she would make them pay for what they did.

As she was planning on how to get revenge on the two, she heard a knock on her door.

"Miss, can I come in? It's time for breakfast. I'll help you change clothes."

"Come in."

'For me to make a plan, I need to know what year I came back.'

She thought as she was changing her clothes. After she changed her clothes, she sat in front of the mirror while Sarah was combing her hair.

"Sarah"

"Yes, miss?"

Sarah answered waiting for her miss' question.

"Can you remind me what date is it today? I kinda forgot."

Sarah chuckled. It wasn't new that her miss would forget the date. She doesn't have any sense of date, so it was normal for her to ask her such a thing.

"Today is May 17, 2017, miss. Just 2 more months before your 16th birthday. What would you like to get as a gift?"

Clarisse couldn't hear the other things Sarah said...

She went back 10 years in the past!
