Elsa was furious upon hearing King Mordrak's proposal. Fortunately, her medical training had honed her quick thinking and resilience, allowing her to devise a plan right away to save her husband without marrying the demon king.
"Fine, let's do it on the sixth," she replied curtly.
She leaned back in her seat and picked up a glass of red wine. She sniffed it before taking a sip.
King Mordrak remained silent, observing her intently. He unconsciously licked and bit his lips, then raised his left hand to gently stroke his mouth, his eyes still fixed on her.
Noticing this, Elsa extended her wine glass toward him. "Would you like some?"
Mordrak shook his head and smirked, still not uttering a word.
"You didn't put anything in my drink, did you? You look at me as if you are planning something behind my back. Perhaps tricking me into something that I don't want to do. Just like how I got her," Elsa joked.
