Jay walks into the dinner and orders his regular meal with a medium sized sweet tea to drink instead of coffee.
After a few minutes of waiting Jay sees the waitress walking towards him with his meal.
"Here's your regular again tonight Jay, I hope you enjoy it as much as normally." The waitress named hailey said cheerfully and smiling to see a regular customer back again.
"Of course, I'll always enjoy my food at this dinner. It is the best made city wide after all." Jay replied while chuckling a little behind his words and starts to eat as it also starts to rain outside of the dinner.
"Oh? It's raining tonight... good thing I already did my part of the job. It sure is lovely out when it rains in this city." Jay said while putting down his drink after a sip. "The day when it rains you can see things and hear things you can't on days it doesn't rain. I've remembered that since childhood as my father use to always mention and I guess he was right."
Jay finished eating his meal and decided to leave the dinner heading back to his old and abandoned warehouse to sleep until the time for him to start his new detective job which he was accepted into just a few hours prior.
The rain hits the buildings, falling quickly down soaking the roads in water, the sound of it is beautiful, clear, and a cool breeze with the air blowing on that winterly night.
Jay walks into the warehouse and lays down on his custom made mattress which he had made a few weeks ago. "Today was a really productive day... I got a new 'job' for a detective agency, got my money from the job I finished earlier, ate at my favorite dinner in the city, and had a sweet tea...today was the best man." Jay said while closing his eyes to fall asleep in the cold room yet with a warm breeze from his heater which he has running on batteries.
After 3 hours of sleeping he heard his alarm go off and got up. "Ugh... this alarm went off early?" Suddenly he remembers about today and the agency. "O-oh god..." he looks at the time on the alarm and saw that it's 7:30 am.
"I need to hurry up and get ready for today...I only have 30 minutes left to get ready and get there." Jay thought to himself as he gets ready for today and walks outside of the warehouse locking it down behind him with a silver key.
20 minutes later Jay arrives at work and walks into the building breathing heavily as he was by nearly late to his first day at the job. He walks by the front desk and as he walks by he sees a guy in a different uniform than the rest. "Huh? A different uniform than us?... I'm assuming that guy is important. I need to keep my awareness up around him ." He thought as the person walked over to him and introduced himself. "Oh hello, you must be the new recruit am I right? Well... anyways, my name is Conner McKnell. I'm the commander in this department, and also
the one who accepted you into this department. Nice to meet you." He hands out his hand for a handshake as to welcome Jay into the team.
Jay shook Conner's hand and replied to him. "I'm thankful that you accepted my application sir... but what should I all know first before my first case exactly?"
"Oh yeah before I forget, just follow me around the building for a bit of time and ill explain each room and what each room does. However there is some basic rules I want to go over with you beforehand. First rule is just be yourself here as we're all a family, don't slack off on any work or cases, paperwork, etc. Don't go into anyone else's rooms of work unless you have a question, need more information about a case, etc. That's all there is Jay, just try to remember them and good luck on your first day. I'll have your first case on your desk in room 337A in about an hour after the tour."
Jay listened to his words and memorized the rules before speaking again. "That sounds good to me sir. Can we go ahead and begin the tour? I would like to get started as fast as I can just to get use to it all a bit faster."
Conner liked the attitude Jay had about wanting to work and immediately started to show him around the building, and explained each and every room they passed by until they reached Jay's room of which Jay went inside and now is waiting for his first case to appear either on the deak or through an email.
After 15 minutes of waiting around looking wrojnd his small room which he can hear the people next door. He can also barely see them through the blinds on the windows as he finally receives an email. He walks back over to his desk and checks the description of the task.
"Jay horn. We are here to give you, your very first case. We are looking for a 36 year old male wanted for multiple cases of rape, assault, robbery, fleeing, and kidnapping. Here is all known information about the subject."
His name read out "Timothy Gray Smith" a 36 year old male retired from ex navy gone on an rampage. Last known location was at 334-17 Green East at 4:22 pm Saturday night last week.
As Jay read everything. "...this information is a bit vague. All it has is a time from last week, charges, and a male who is 36...no facial details, no famous words he likes, nothing at all."
Jay began to get disappointed at such a lowly managed profile page. Jay began to get back on the web and begins to dig around looking for any clues to help him in any case scenario.
