around 6 months had passed since our first mission when it happened... one night we were... well let me show you.

"Samantha" I, Alexander Yellowhorn, shouted "why don't you come celebrate with everyone else"
as i said that she opened the door to her room in the barracks
"Alex, come in here" she asked
it wasn't usual for soldiers to have individual rooms but being friends with the leader helps, even if that leader is an oblivious idiot. i looked at Samantha in that moment and something was different, her gorgeous red hair was slightly wrong not being the perfectly maintained masterpiece it normally was, her crimson eyes looked empty not full of life as they usually were and she was missing an important part of her face. her charismatic smile that brought light to any room.
as i stepped into the room i could see dozens of tear soaked tissues...
"are you.... are you okay?" I asked tentatively
"no... but lets not talk about it, I wanna spend the rest of today with you" she responded something obviously eating at her heart "please"
"yeah of course" I responded my heart beating faster "I-I'd be happy to"
she giggled back in response her smile momentarily returning "you dummy"
"you don't have to be mean, besides I'm very smart unlike that moron Kon"
"y'know, i don't think Kon's actually dumb... I think hes playing the part... for us to laugh at"
"yeah, i know" i responded "i think I've just gotten so used to teasing him i do it when hes not even here"
"Alex, have i ever told you about my childhood"

"I was the result of an affair between my father who is lets just say a high up member of the country and a commoner... my mother died in childbirth and well my father truly loved her as much as he didn't want to admit it... he blamed me for her death everyday, so much so that he never even told anyone of my existence and i was less of his child and more of an un-payed help he forced to do anything he so wished, luckily my father wasn't a bad man at heart i shudder thinking about where i would be if he was... but anyway technically i am a noble albeit one who isn't particularly respected... or known every day he refused me to even so much as leave the house he never once laid so much as a finger on me but he made me pay off my mothers death every single day i managed to earn a favour from it, i don't wanna go into detail as to how but i did and that's how i managed to come to school and leave home for these years... although he didn't let me leave without making sure i know he owned me" she said and as she said that last part she started crying she then fell into me wrapping her arms around me, crying into my chest...
"Alex! These last years have been the best of my life and i need you to know... i love you" she shouted and then I felt a heavy impact in the back of my neck and i was asleep.....
"Huh, wha- happened, this is Sams room?" i woke up "WAIT SAM!!" I said trying to track her aura but she was gone, i ran as fast as i could i looked everywhere a million times and she wasn't there she was gone, truly gone and finally i went to the one person i could trust my life with
"KON!" i shouted "ITS SAM SHES GONE!!!"
