Chereads / MMORPG: Guild War / Chapter 4 - Chaotic brawl

Chapter 4 - Chaotic brawl

With arms folded, Yung Jae scanned the young man with golden hair. His profile said everything, from the name Choi Go level five and guild.

"Hah, already in the guild, I see." Yung Jae said.

From there, Yung Jae knew Choi Go was not a normal player. Then, he took notice of him.

He wore a white shirt with a medium dark red short coat that covered his chest, embodiment with purple and gold, the color of royalty.

His shirts only came from pioneer packs and had tremendous best on HP, MP, and 20 free stat points, which means ten stat points above normal players. It cost ten million won each—a whale, a big spender in the game.

The voice of the sword slicing the wind attracted much attention from other players nearby as Choi Go pointed his silver sword to Yung Jae—another cash item.

"Don't you dare to run from me, Peasant!" Choi Go draped on his step. His sword was already up, and he swung it down hard.

Yung Jae flatly looked at him without even budging. He stood like a mannequin and twisted his lips up. There was no fear in his ebony eyes, only mockery.

Whuuz, the sword sliced down, and it stopped before hitting Yung Jae's shoulder. Choi Go raised it and swung it down like a lumberjack chomped a lumber.

Beep beep. There, a red window popped up beside his sword.

[Error, can not harm other players in save palace]

Yung Jae rolled his eyes as Choi Go swung his sword repeatedly.

"Seriously," Yung Jae said. "Can you read those words in front of yours?"

"Shut your crap off!" Choi Go raised and swung his sword down again and again. The same message showed up beside his sword.

[Error, can not harm other players in save palace]

"Stupid sword!" He swung it against the table and sliced it into two. What happened to my sword? Is it broken? Dammit! Hey, guys, lend me your sword!"

Other players guffawed, seeing how stupid Choi Go could be. The man's face reddened, flushing, and anger became one.

"Shut up, shut the crap off, Peasant! Or I shall kill you all, mark my work!" Choi Go fuelled the situation.

Now, another laughter came from the other side of the bar. Even the bartender can't hold himself.

Yung Jae let his breath out. "Seriously, this guy?"

From his action, Yung Jae sure Choi Go never hit the Closed Beta Server. He probably never played MMORPG before.

The man was spending money and being a whale but knew nothing about the game. Should it be called irony?

"Listen, snub. Unnatorize battle called braw," Yung Jae said as he grabbed some dark green bottles on the table. "You can't use your weapon, but you can use everything else in the environment as a weapon. Let me make an example."

He swung his bottle hard and hammered Choi Go's head from the side. It came with a thud and made him limp to the side.

"Argh, argh, argh, it's freqking hurt!" He groaned in pain, dropping his weapon to brush his head. He trembled in fear as there was a blood stain on his palm. "Blood… blood! Help, my head is bleeding. Call the ambulance! I—"

"Shut up." Yung Jae hammered him again with the same bottle, and the bottle shattered.

This time, Choi Go limped and dropped on the table like boneless meat, sliding down and lying on the floor.

"Get down!" A girl's voice came from the crowd.

Reflexively, Yung Jae followed her advice and evaded a flying stool above him. It looks like Choi Go's friend threw it.

The bar stool hit the table and ruined the card game of another player.

The man in the brown coat, enjoying playing the cards, slammed the table, then he rose and pointed to the slim man who threw a stool. "Bastard, you ask for trouble, huh?"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to," the slim man said. But ut no use. The man in the coat threw his chair on him. The thin man squinted, and the chair flew above him, hitting another man.

The man raised and threw his table. And the domino effect started. In a second, the brawl ensued.

The carnage began.

The music continued.

Everyone cheered, clapping, yelling, "Fight, fight, fight."

More people got dragged into a brawl.

More tankards and bottles and chairs and tables flew like snowballs on a December snow fight.

He searched for the slim man early and found him in the carnage, showing his back to Yung.

He turned him over. "Friend of Choi Go, huh?" He punched him in the face and broke his nose.

The slim man fell, his front on the table. Yung Jae pulled him and smashed his head onto the table, paying back for trying to harm him earlier. The man fell unconscious.

Whikenhe wanted to leave, and Yung Jae heard Choi Go voice.

"Bastard." The yellow-haired man craned up, gripping the chair slowly rose. "You mess with the wrong person, peasant. You will pay for this, mark my word—"

"Shut up." As he asked for it, Yung Jae hit his face, forcing him to lay on the floor.

"You talk rubbish about Kang Chae Wo again. I will P.K. you until you rage quit."

Before Choi Go could respond, Yung Jae stomped his face, sending him into a deep sleep.

Meanwhile, the pub became a brawl arena. The damage was high. It will cost much to return those broken table chairs before the brawl.

"Stop, stop!" The bartender cried in desperation. "Or I'll call the sentry guards! Everyone calm down!"

No one heard the poor man. Even if they heard Yung Jae, sure, no one cared.

The bartender slammed the bar table with a napkin. "Damn you, traveler." He grabs the phone on the wall, calling someone.

It's time for Yung Jae to leave before being dragged into the brawl.

If the sentry guards caught him, the jail would be his home for several days or weeks. He can't do a quest for experience, meaning he has no expertise in leveling

He must get out of here.

Before leaving, he gulped ale and toasted an empty tankard to a crowded brawl. He walked backward toward the entrance while searching for the girl who had helped him early.

There were too many players and NPCs in the brawl. He couldn't find her. But, whoever she was, he owes her one.

He dodged a flying bar stool and gave the Choi Go friend a double middle finger before turning around and moving casually for the entrance.

"The guards have come!" One of the customers yelled as he took a peek outside from the window. "Sentry guards are coming!"

A whistle echoed from outside, and the laughter slowly stopped. The double-wing door opened, and it crashed into the wall.

Yung Jae petrifield. His nightmares were coming. "Oh crap."

They wore a dark grey long trench coat and slike helms. Those sentry guards charged in.

Armed with batons and rifles, the sentry guards mopped up everyone who coughed in a brawl harshly. They use their weapons indiscriminately.

Everyone inside screamed, especially those girls. They scream louder like a banshee.

Yung Jae couldn't use the main entrance as it was full of sentry guards.

He witnessed many players being mauled down by a guard. Many get slammed with batons. Two players jumped out of the window, but as soon as they got up, they got bogged down by sentry guards outside.

Yung Jae gritted his teeth. "Shit, no windows for me."

Scanning the pub, he tried to find a way out or a hidden palace, but where?

Behind the bar beside the stairs? On the second floor? Toilet? Or should he fight back? But how? With a bare fist?
