Each day, she devoted an hour to pouring mana into the Willow sapling, nurturing its growth. She also witnessed the preparations for the conquest in full swing, accepting that she could not alter this course of events. Desperation had led her to ask Ferox if he could accompany her father during the campaign, but the elemental had coldly rejected her plea.
"I serve to uphold Keahi's grandeur, not to safeguard your father," Ferox had stated with an icy detachment. "If he perishes, it won't tarnish the goddess's magnificence."
