Andromeda's mood was foul, her thoughts were still consumed by the confrontation with Ferox. She couldn't get rid of the fury that had left her awake all night. She was going to have a word with Goddess whenever she would get the chance. She wasn't going to let this go.
As Denise arrived to help her dress for the day with few other assigned maids, Andromeda was frowning. "Denise, could you please ask the other maids to leave?" Andromeda's tone was firm, though tinged with an edge of frustration.
It caught her off guard but she didn't raise any questions and told the other maids to leave. But soon it became apparent, just why Andromeda had asked others to leave. Denise quickly noticed the harsh marks on Andromeda's shoulders and the bruises on her back, but the stern expression on Andromeda's face warned her against asking. Hastily, Denise finished dressing Andromeda, sensing her mistress's tension.
