Cece fell silent. Her newfound comfort was fading.
"He can't protect me all the time. He has his life, his work, we have never talked about this before. Just to protect myself from an unseen, unknown danger, I can't ask him to move in with me."
"That means you have considered it."
Cece had considered it the moment she heard about the other cases from Mia. It was not an ideal solution but it was a safe option. Given her status with Oliver, she was not in a hurry. Recently she had been thinking about this. Oliver had been there for her all the time, but she could not say the same for herself. She did not know about his struggles, his fears and insecurities, or even about his businesses. She was taken aback when she found out about his partnership with Ray. The wound he had given her the previous night out of the blue was still very fresh.
