Jane was waiting for Cecelia in her cabin.
Cece had made the appointment on the same day. Jane was abroad for some fundraising event, so her secretary had to schedule the appointment on Saturday morning.
"Do you work on Saturdays?" Cece asked once she got the confirmation from the man, who sounded very young. She recalled seeing the working hours and days, and she distinctly remembered that Jane Bukowsky's office didn't work on the weekends.
"I have orders from Ms. Bukowsky. I am supposed to schedule your appointment without any delay, whenever you call," the secretary said, noticing the hesitancy in her voice.
"Well, thanks then," Cece said before the call disconnected.
