Cece dialled Gavin's number. He had been in touch through messages, but she had not talked to him since he left that morning. She desperately wanted to hear his voice. At least for once, if he said that he was doing better, she would be relieved. Somewhat.
Right now what she felt was fear. The last thing Sandra had told her was about the mess in Ruby's bedroom. It looked as though someone had tried to search for something in that room. It made her suspicion stronger. Ruby's passing was not a result of the ongoing process. It escalated. She did not know who caused it or how they did it, but she was certain of the presence of another soul in that room.
And that was not the only scary part.
After the whole thing happened, Gavin did not go home for two days. Where was he?
He came to meet her at her place. What if they had followed him to her address? Would they know that Cece was written into being too? That Cece was meant to be a substitute for Ruby?
