Farrel couldn't have guessed the attack at all since it was his first time seeing such an attack with an unknown source of energy.
He could do ranged spells and hexes on his own and he had seen other energy practitioners do something similar, but nothing was as strong or as apparent as the aura blade that he saw.
Even for him who dabbled in the spiritual world a lot before, seeing an aura manifest as a blade huge enough to cut his body down in a single attack was like watching a fiction movie.
However, Farrel wasn't the only one who was confused.
'He could see my attack!?'
'Did he also go to the tower…?'
These questions popped up in the bandit leader's head, but he soon shook his head.
'It didn't matter. He's a cursed child, there's nothing I need to know other than to finish him right here.'
Farrel saw the bandit leader stop moving once again and stood in place.
It might be confusing to others, but Farrel clearly saw how the aura of the bandit leader started appearing from all over the bandit leader's body and gathered on his sword once again.
He knew what was coming at him this time, and Farrel didn't have any plans to keep staying on the receiving side of an attack.
Making sure his eyes mapped out all the thick trees that he could use for cover in case his plan went awry, Farrel once again enhanced his feet before moving his body.
Kicking his feet once more, Farrel didn't intend to get away from the bandit leader this time,
Instead, Farrel lunged forward, moving closer to the bandit leader with his enhanced body.
Of course, the bandit leader didn't stay still seeing the child who was most likely responsible for making his base and his crew descend into madness get close to him.
He was already halfway gathering his energy to let out another sword aura wave toward Farrel.
And feeling the urgentness of the situation, the bandit leader poured in even more of his energy faster than before to release the attack faster.
With his extra effort, the energy did gather faster and Farrel wasn't able to get close enough faster before another horizontal sword energy wave was discharged from the bandit leader's sword.
Fortunately for him though, he already knew what was coming at him.
Opening his eyes wide to make sure he saw the full shape of the condensed energy, it took Farrel less than a second to decide his next move.
Instead of jumping away to get out of the attack's trajectory or hide behind another tree trunk, Farrel dove forward.
Jumping forward with his hand and the stick at the forefront and his body straightened. Making his body shoot straight forward like an arrow.
Using his enhanced body and proper body positioning, Farrel was able to go higher than the horizontal sword wave trajectory and went over it without a single nick on his body.
But the next problem was that he was currently in an awkward body position, halfway falling to the ground where his body would lay flat on the ground by the time he landed.
However, Farrel already thought about it.
Allocating the enhancement throughout his whole body to his hands and fingers, Farrel dropped his hands down so that they would touch the ground first.
The second his hands and fingers touched the ground, Farrel used the power that they had after being enhanced by at least 20 ghosts and enabled his hands to be a substitute for his feet.
Pushing his body up, Farrel's hands had launched his body up high as if he was using his own feet to jump.
Then in mid-air, Farrel rolled once, correcting his body position and holding the enhanced stick as if it was a sword, and slashed downward.
The combination of the enhanced stick and the momentum of Farrel's body became a deadly attack that could easily crack someone's skull open.
But that would only be the case if the stick succeeded in hitting the skull of said person.
The bandit leader wasn't someone dumb.
He had his fair share of fights and someone doing an inhuman acrobatic move wasn't something that he had never seen before.
Even though his attack failed to hit its target, the bandit leader didn't mull over it and instead moved his sword and called upon more of his energy.
The bandit leader's ability didn't betray him as the circles shone a little brighter once again and energy started pouring out from them, covering his body and the sword he held.
The stick and the sword then met each other.
The two clashed once more as the power that enhanced them was equal and neither of them could overpower one another.
The bandit leader was ready to break out of the clash once more and prepare for another long exchange using his ranged attack.
But Farrel had another plan.
The second the two weapons clashed with each other and Farrel's feet touched the ground, he moved his foot.
Not to run away or break the clash, it was for something else.
Aiming the foot towards the bandit leader's head, it took the latter by surprise as the bandit leader instantly moved his head sideways to dodge the incoming attack.
The kick was fast, but the head moved even faster as the former was a combination movement of all the leg muscles while the latter only needed a quick twitch of the muscle in the neck.
Unfortunately for the bandit leader, Farrel still got what he wanted even when he couldn't kick his head.
That's because Farrel didn't aim for the neck even from the start.
What Farrel was aiming for was the pendant hanging on the bandit leader's neck.
Using his enhanced body, Farrel hooked the pendant with the end of his foot and jerked it outward, breaking the chains that held the pendant onto the bandit leader's neck.
The bandit leader's body and sword might be covered with the unknown energy, but there was none of that enhancing properties on the chains on the pendant.
As a result, the chains couldn't handle the extreme force imposed on them as they broke apart, letting Farrel kick the pendant away, far from the bandit leader's body.
The second the pendant left the bandit leader's body and shot off to the dimly lit forest, Farrel finally broke away from the clash of the two weapons.
Giving himself and the bandit leader some distance from each other.
Panic began to spread all over the bandit leader's body as he realized he had just lost his protection charm.
But seeing the kid in front of him was still just the same kid, with nothing such as a scary ghost appearing in his stead, the bandit leader forcefully drove away any unnecessary thoughts as he charged forward.
"You think I need that to defeat you!? I will kill you with this sword, you cursed child!"
Seeing the damned blessed item had finally gotten out of the picture, Farrel heaved a sigh of relief as he faced forward, staring at his charging enemy with a lazy gaze.
"I'm afraid you do need it."
It was the last sentence that Farrel said before his mouth uttered what were seemingly intangible words.
However, different from before, his mouth moved twice as fast, making the already incomprehensible sounds more ominous than before, making him seemingly calling for a demon to ascend and bring hell to earth.
Fortunately for the bandit leader, there's no demon that would be appearing.
Unfortunately though, hell was still coming at him.
