"I want to know too," Genevieve said. "Let's approach her."
Genevieve ran up to the girl, Moland and Quer following suit. She wanted to ask the girl who she was and where she came from. She hoped the girl could provide some clues about the forest.
When they neared the girl, Genevieve greeted her politely. "Good day, young lady. May I ask you something?"
The girl turned to Genevieve and gazed at her with an empty, bewildered look. She seemed confused and didn't understand what Genevieve was saying.
"Who are you?" the girl asked in a weak voice.
"I am Casandra, a guest in this village," replied Genevieve. "I came here in search of something."
"Searching for something?" the girl repeated, in a monotone voice.
"Yes," said Genevieve. "I'm simply looking for something related to a specific area," she said softly, weaving in a touch of deceit.
