In his room, Quer felt his mind drifting into waves of tranquility. The sleeping medication slowly influenced his nervous system. Although he remained conscious, his desire to resist was fading.
Genevieve and Moland continued to observe Quer, hoping the sleeping medication would provide him with time to rest and perhaps recover his mind from the detrimental influence.
"I hope he can naturally free himself from the influence of that sun-worshipping cult," Genevieve hoped with all her heart. She felt saddened by Quer's abrupt change in attitude. Genevieve also felt guilty for leaving Quer alone, ultimately leading him into unhealthy thoughts.
"I also hope Quer recovers soon. I want to see his playful self again," added Moland, enveloped in sadness for his friend's condition.
